🎃 Weekend Recap! 🎃

We had such a fang-tastic time celebrating Halloween this last week!

It was wonderful seeing so many smiling faces (and a few spooky ones too)👻. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, joined in the fun, and helped make all of these events such a success.

And lastly, a special thank you to the team here at Yuma Nursing Center & Rehab who helped make our Trick-or-Treat event all so special and memorable for our residents and for our community. Thank you to the residents' family members who also volunteered in lending a hand! It was truly heartwarming to see everyone come together to spread joy, laughter, and Halloween spirit throughout our halls. 🎃🧡

Thank you to Legacy MD Group and to Haven of Sandpointe for having us be a part of your festivities — we’re already looking forward to all of next year’s festivities! 🕸️

Join us on Tuesday, November 12, for a community event focused on understanding, preventing, and managing diabetes. Whether you’re living with diabetes, at risk, or simply want to learn more, this event offers valuable information and free resources to support your health journey.

• Free blood pressure screenings
• Nutrition and lifestyle education
• Q&A sessions
• Local resources and support programs

Spooky Season is in Full Swing! 👻🎃

Our Yuma Nursing Center & Rehab team is getting into the Halloween spirit! 🧙‍♀️🍬 We’ll be out and about this week at several community Trick/Trunk-or-Treat events along with hosting one of our very own; spreading smiles and sweet treats to our friends and neighbors.

Be sure to stop by our table, say hello, and grab some candy — we can’t wait to see all the creative costumes! 🕸️🦇

💗 On Wednesdays, we wear PINK! 💗

Our team proudly joins the fight against breast cancer this month by wearing pink to show our love, support, and solidarity with all the warriors, survivors, and families impacted by breast cancer. 🎀

Together, we raise awareness, inspire hope, and honor those who continue to fight with strength and courage. 💪💖

❕ Fall Prevention Week ❕

At Yuma Nursing Center & Rehab, safety is always our top priority. During Fall Prevention Week, we’re raising awareness about the importance of preventing falls and keeping our residents safe, active, and independent.

✅ Tips for Fall Prevention:
• Wear well-fitting, non-slip shoes 👟
• Keep walkways free of clutter and cords 🚶‍♀️
• Use assistive devices when needed (cane, walker, grab bars) 🦯
• Stay active with safe exercises to maintain balance and strength 💪
• Get regular vision and hearing check-ups 👓👂
• Ensure proper lighting in all rooms 💡

Falls are the leading cause of injury for older adults—but together, we can prevent them! 💜

Let’s work as a community to create a safe and supportive environment for our residents.

🎃👻 Halloween Trick-or-Treat at Yuma Nursing Center & Rehab! 👻🎃

Join us on Saturday, October 25th from 2:00–4:00 PM for an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and Halloween spirit! 🧡

✨ Kids and families are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy:
• Safe & spooky trick-or-treating
• Kid-friendly Halloween games
• Sweet treats & popcorn🍿🍪🍫
• Dancing to fun Halloween music 🎶
