Eye allergies often spike during high‑pollen seasons and can lead to itchy, red, watery, or burning eyes, sometimes with swelling or sensitivity to light. Check with us if you're experiencing eye allergy issues. There are solutions!

Parents with babies -- bring your face close during feeding or playtime. Babies naturally focus best at this distance, and seeing your expressions helps them practice early skills like focusing, tracking movement, and recognizing familiar faces. As they grow, showing them simple high‑contrast toys or gently moving objects side to side can encourage their developing ability to follow motion.

Reducing Risk Factors for Eye Disease - Reducing the risk of developing eye conditions linked to aging is significantly achievable by staying active. But what exactly does “staying active” entail? Essentially, it involves engaging in any form of exercise or physical activity — even something as simple as walking — on a regular basis, ideally at least three times a week. Such consistent activity can lower the risk of age-related macular degeneration by up to 75% and decrease the likelihood of glaucoma by 25%. Additionally, integrating a variety of vegetables into your diet plays a crucial role as well.

How often should you get an eye exam? Your vision changes throughout life, and routine eye exams help catch issues early and keep your eyes healthy. Children should have their eyes examined in infancy and continue through the school years. Adults 20-64 years of age should have regular comprehensive exams to help detect early signs of eye disease, even if vision feels fine. Adults 65+ should have more frequent exams as risks for conditions like cataracts and glaucoma increase.
Routine exams aren’t just about updating glasses or contacts—they help protect long‑term eye health and catch problems before they affect your vision.

Don’t Wait for Eye Problems - Many people assume that if they can see clearly, their eyes are healthy. This misconception leads to delayed care and potentially preventable vision loss. Eye diseases often develop gradually, and by the time symptoms appear, significant damage may have already occurred.
If you can’t remember your last comprehensive eye exam, or if it’s been more than two years since your last visit, you’re likely overdue. Contact us today to schedule an appointment. Your future vision depends on the preventive care you provide today.
