I wanted to share a quick advocacy opportunity that aligns closely with our work.........
The Department of Justice recently delayed enforcement of the ADA Title II web accessibility rule. This rule is critical in ensuring people with disabilities have equal access to online services and information, so this delay is concerning for the communities we serve.
This is one of those moments where timing really matters.
REV UP and AAPD have put together a joint statement in opposition to this delay and are inviting organizations to sign on. 🙏🏼

We are so excited to share that SMILE has been selected as a 2026 CORE Grant recipient through the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona 💚

This truly means so much to us!! It is not only support for our organization, but support for the individuals with disabilities we serve every day and our mission to help people live independently and be fully part of their communities. 🙏

This funding will help us continue reaching people across our service area, especially in rural communities where access to resources can be limited, and allow us to keep showing up, connecting, and supporting those who need it most.

We are incredibly grateful to the CORE Grant program and the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona for believing in our work and choosing to invest in SMILE.

Every day, we are working to remove barriers and create opportunities so people can live the lives they choose 💜
