Assisted Living Locators Baton Rouge Matchmaking seniors with caring providers for over a decade®. Assisted Living Locators has helped families like yours find ideal senior living options.

We provide invaluable support and guidance at no cost to you My profound dedication to working with older adults is rooted in my extensive 17-year experience in the long-term industry. Allow me to introduce myself as the wife of Alvin R. Jackson, a retired Sergeant from the Baton Rouge City Constables Office of 28 years of service. The mother has four children: Alaynna, Jarvis II, daughter in law (Kayla), Cameron, and stepdaughter Shannon, son in law (Alfred). I have the honor of being the proud grandmother of Grayson. Over the course of my extensive 23-year career as a BSN Registered Nurse, I have consistently approached the privilege of caring for patients with profound respect and admiration. The appropriate term for this is an unwavering devotion to the profession and a sincere commitment to the enhancement of others.

🌟 It was an honor to be part of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Military & Veterans Caregiver Summit on November 18, 2025 — in partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.

I was deeply grateful to join the “Invisible Wounds” panel alongside a powerful group of experts, shedding light on the unseen challenges our veterans and caregivers face — from Alzheimer’s and dementia to moral injury and substance use. I spoke on Meeting the Needs of the Caregiver, because behind every veteran’s healing journey is a caregiver who deserves support, clarity, and compassion.

💜 Special thanks to my fellow panelists:
• Dr. Jerome Buller, COL, USA Ret. (Moderator)
• Dr. Robert Newton – Alzheimer’s
• Nicole Seabolt – Dementia
• Cammie Anderson – Moral Injury
• Dr. Gregory Stewart – TBI
• Dr. Christi Brown – Substance Abuse

🙏 I also want to thank the “Help is Here” panel for offering real-world guidance and resources to caregivers navigating daily challenges:
• Larry Williams (Moderator)
• Petreana L. Anderson-Anderson – VA Caregiver Program
• Lara Garey – Elizabeth Dole Foundation
• Stan Stewart – LDVA Veterans Assistance Counselors
• Stacia Jemison – LDVA Veterans Homes

This work matters — not just for this summit, but for your loved ones, your families, and your communities. Caregiving is sacred work, and I see the strength, love, and sacrifice it takes.

If anything I’ve shared today resonates with you — if you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure of your next step, or just need someone to talk to — please know that you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to walk with you. I offer free, personalized guidance to help you understand your options — whether that means staying at home with more support or exploring assisted living or memory care.

You are not alone. 💜
