🌟 It was an honor to be part of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Military & Veterans Caregiver Summit on November 18, 2025 — in partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation.
I was deeply grateful to join the “Invisible Wounds” panel alongside a powerful group of experts, shedding light on the unseen challenges our veterans and caregivers face — from Alzheimer’s and dementia to moral injury and substance use. I spoke on Meeting the Needs of the Caregiver, because behind every veteran’s healing journey is a caregiver who deserves support, clarity, and compassion.
💜 Special thanks to my fellow panelists:
• Dr. Jerome Buller, COL, USA Ret. (Moderator)
• Dr. Robert Newton – Alzheimer’s
• Nicole Seabolt – Dementia
• Cammie Anderson – Moral Injury
• Dr. Gregory Stewart – TBI
• Dr. Christi Brown – Substance Abuse
🙏 I also want to thank the “Help is Here” panel for offering real-world guidance and resources to caregivers navigating daily challenges:
• Larry Williams (Moderator)
• Petreana L. Anderson-Anderson – VA Caregiver Program
• Lara Garey – Elizabeth Dole Foundation
• Stan Stewart – LDVA Veterans Assistance Counselors
• Stacia Jemison – LDVA Veterans Homes
This work matters — not just for this summit, but for your loved ones, your families, and your communities. Caregiving is sacred work, and I see the strength, love, and sacrifice it takes.
