This week we’re excited to highlight Jennifer Adams, who recently celebrated her 1-year anniversary with Cairn Recovery Resources on January 28, 2026. Jennifer brings passion, faith, and lived experience to the work she does every day.

💬 What inspired Jennifer to work in recovery services?
"As a person in recovery myself and a member of A.A, I understand that helping another alcoholic/addicted person is how I’m able to stay sober. That being said, I’ve been blessed more than I deserve with the opportunity to get paid to do what I believe is God’s plan for my life—helping the next alcoholic/addicted person find their path to a better way of life."

💬 Her favorite part about working at Cairn:
"There are many wonderful aspects to working at Cairn Recovery. A personal one for me is that I’m respected, I feel supported by my supervisor as well as my co-workers, and I feel heard. We have fun, but most of all the leadership trusts me to do exactly what they hired me to do, and I never feel like I’m working under the thumb."

💬 Life outside of work:
"I love taking mini vaycay’s with my ‘Chicas,’ going to different restaurants, spending quality time with true friends, and spending time with my lil grandson."

💬 Words Jennifer lives by:

"Only the grace of a loving God. God always uses others to show me that I’m still in the right place."

Community Partnership Spotlight!!

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community partners at Forever Dads for the meaningful work they do with our clients and fathers throughout our community.

Their dedication to helping fathers grow, strengthen family relationships, and become positive role models for their children makes a lasting impact on the families we serve. Programs like theirs play a vital role in supporting recovery, rebuilding families, and creating stronger communities.

We are also deeply honored to have been presented with the Ron Apperson All Pro Dad Award. This recognition means a great deal to our team and reflects the importance of collaboration between organizations that share a commitment to supporting fathers and families.

💬 What inspired Jordan to work in recovery services?
"I was inspired to work in recovery because I began my own recovery journey in January 2015. Walking through the darkness of active addiction and untreated mental health challenges gave me firsthand experience with the despair, hopelessness, and isolation that so many people face."

💬 On the impact recovery has had on her life:
"Recovery did more than change my circumstances; it changed my perspective, my purpose, and my understanding of what healing can look like. Through my lived experience, I discovered that there truly is another way to live."

💬 Her favorite part about working at Cairn:
"My favorite part of working at Cairn is being able to see the vision in action and grow alongside it. Cairn feels like a family, surrounded by people with genuine intentions and compassionate hearts."

💬 What motivates her every day:
"What motivates me daily is the loss of those we’ve lost to addiction, mental health struggles, and su***de. Their lives matter, and their stories stay with me."

💬 Life outside of work:
"Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and kids. We enjoy being outdoors, riding the Harley, and staying involved in the kids’ sports and activities."

We are excited to announce that Cairn Recovery Resources will soon be offering Outpatient Mental Health Services in Columbus! Telehealth options will also be available, so you do not have to live in the area to receive compassionate, high-quality care from our providers.

We are grateful for the opportunity to expand and offer these services, and we look forward to serving individuals who may not have previously been eligible for Cairn services. We recognize that the term recovery extends beyond substance use. Many individuals face challenges in various areas of life, and Cairn is committed to supporting recovery in all its forms.

We strive to live up to the meaning of our name by assisting those seeking healing and growth-at every level and in every area-with kindness, integrity, and excellence in care.
