Holiday balancing act for fitness

Celebrating this holiday season is excellent. Make sure to keep moving while celebrating. Keep moving by a family walk after meals, a holiday 5K, or dancing with friends. Plan workouts as appointments. Combine social time with an activity. You can also use apps or videos for a quick guided workout session. Prioritize consistency over intensity. Little activity every day is better than no activity. Every step counts.

Muskingum University Nursing Student Donation to Cancer Care Center Social Post

Thanks to the Muskingum University Nursing Student Organization for their ongoing commitment to make a difference in our cancer patients’ lives. During this year’s annual fundraiser, the nursing students raised $650 to donate to the Genesis Cancer Care Center. The money assists breast cancer patients with supplies such as breast prostheses and mastectomy bras. We are grateful for their support.

Holidays are for enjoying time with friends and family. To help enjoy your time, plan a balanced menu that includes lean proteins, vegetables and whole grains. Ensure that you accommodate dietary restrictions for your guests. Offer water and herbal teas along with festive drinks. Create movement with a post-meal walk or games.
