With the uncertainty of the market, the government shutdown, tariffs, and other factors- we may very well close down this season early. We plan to buy for another week or so and play it by ear after that. So no guarantees. Come see us soon if you are holding onto dry ginseng!

Today, 9/23, Joe would have been 100 years old.
As some of you know, we lost Joe back in July. He passed away at 99 years old.
I’m positive the ginseng industry would be different, local and abroad, without him taking a chance as a ginseng dealer nearly 60 years ago. Ironically when he passed he was America’s oldest ginseng dealer.
Most of you have came into the shop for many, many years. Some of you even 30-40 years. A lot of you have great stories and memories of Joe as I hear them all the time ❤️. You can also share your stores with me in the comments, I’d love to read them.
Although he handed over the reigns of the business years ago, he still loved to come in the shop and see all the customers and sort roots in the back room from time to time. I hope you all will continue to stop in and let me be your root dealer as I hold the highest of standards just like Joe. I appreciate all of you.

🚨➡️ IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS YEAR ◀️ 🚨

-We will post at the beginning of each week the days and hours open for that week. We will not be open everyday. These will be evening hours. As always, best to call before you come and we may also be able to get you in at different times if you CALL AHEAD OF TIME. Don’t drive an hour, sit at the shop and call us to meet you, it won’t happen.

-We will only buy QUALITY WILD ROOT! No small, dirty, burnt, etc. root will be bought. We also do not buy root that resembles cultivated or woods grown type. You will be taking it back with you.

-You must have a photo ID to sell this year. You cannot sell for someone else. Photo ID must be shown to us before we buy your root.

-We literally get 50-100 calls, text, fb messages a day about ginseng. If we don’t answer, check back with us. We do the best we can.
