Linda Louise Brettrager (Lister), born January 12, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away April 7th 2026, leaving behind a family who will carry her spirit forward in ways words can barely hold.

Linda was preceded by her Grandmother Ruth Lister, Aunt Louise Lister, and her Father David Mckenzie Lister, and other loved family members.

She was a proud woman who spoke her mind- unfiltered, sharp, and often with a sense of humor that would catch you off guard. Her words are spicy, presence unforgettable, and her personality impossible to ignore. Linda lived a life traveling the nation, but Ohio was always her home. Linda was Mother of six children: Mathew Brettrager, Mark Brettrager, Luke Brettrager, Heather Rice (Denny), Eric Watkins, Rose Barholf (Watkins) and honorary son Jarred Keener. She was the proud grandmother to Kaileb Brettrager, Shiloh Barnes, Jude Barnes, Aiden Rice, Wrynn Hilton, and Benny Bee Brettrager.

Linda leaves behind her loving mother Karen Lister, older brother Mark Lister, two sisters: Audra Fletcher and Cathy Hardesty. Her nieces: Nicole Lister, Melissa Lister, Eleni Fletcher, as well as nephews Warren Fletcher and Logan Hardesty, along with many great nieces and nephews.

She leaves her spark, her smile, her eyes and a presence remembered not as quiet and reserved, but as a unique and genuine person who was unapologetically real. Her Legacy will Live on more than just a memory, but In the large wonderful family she raised, the lives she touched, and the pieces that remain in each of them.

Austen Kaine “Grindle” Grindley, 20, of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on March 16, 2026. Austen was born on December 31, 2005, to Amy and Andrew Grindley. He is preceded in death by two great grandmothers, Betty and Barb; one great grandfather, Randall and one grandfather Arthur “Skip”.

Austen leaves to cherish his memory, his mom, Amy (Jay); dad, Andrew (Amy); sister, Dakota (Keegan); two grandmothers, Chrissy and Charlene; two great grandmothers, Dorothy and Mary; multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who all loved him and will miss him dearly.

Austen was known for his sweet caring personality and his wonderful smile. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time in nature.

Marcia Ann Kennedy, 57, of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Marcia was born on March 18, 1969, to Melvin Sr. and Patricia Kennedy. Marcia is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Kennedy Sr. and her brother, Melvin Kennedy Jr.

Marcia leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Patricia Kennedy; son, Nikkolys; great niece whom she raised as her own, Akyiah Kennedy; siblings, Mark Kennedy, Melissa (Walt) Brennan and MaLinda (Vince) Redolf; several nieces and nephews; as well as many other friends and family.

Marcia was a cat lover. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Marcia will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

James “Harry” Lee Harrier, 69 of Roseville Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Home surrounded by his family. Harry was born on March 16, 1957, to Homer and June Harrier. Harry is preceded in death by his father, Homer Harrier and his loving wife of 51 years, Martha “Marti” Harrier.

Harry leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Richard Tigner; three granddaughters, Samantha Osborn, Morgan (Jacob) Tigner and Victoria Tigner; 5 great grandchildren, Easton, Sophia, Conner, Hudson and Karder; mother, June Harrier; brother, Homer (Candy) Harrier; nieces, Shannon (Martin) Harrier-Beckstorm and Jamie Harrier; nephew, Michael Harrier; great niece and nephew, Kloe and Michael Jr.; as well as several other friends and family.

Harry loved to wheel and deal when purchasing something. He enjoyed working in his garage, playing pool, hunting and fishing, mushroom hunting, going camping, yard selling with his wife and riding their motorcycle and boats. He was the best papaw and loved all his grandbabies. Harry loved to tell stories, always keeping people engaged in what he had to say. He served our country in the United States Army. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Gregg Webb, 52, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away April 19, 2026, following a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin aka Mike and Norma Webb, both sets of grandparents, 2 nephews and his cherished pups, Bella, Baby Girl and Spaz.

Gregg is survived by his wife of 29 years, Chantel Webb, his 2 sons, Zachary Webb and Darin (Jessica Rittenhouse) Webb, his grandchildren, C**t, Xavier and Bella, sisters, Violet Flickinger, Lisa (George Champagne) Webb and brother Michael (Lori) Webb, many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and a dear friend, Heather Davenport.

Gregg will continue to be well loved by many. He loved hunting, fishing, playing pool, playing cards and let's not forget, softball.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and community.

He is survived by his wife Melissa A. Callipare,; 13 brothers and one sister; his kids David (Regina) and Jason (Amy), Luann (Jake), Misty, Butch (Missy),Ossie (Brenda) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Martha Jane Harrier, 67, of Roseville Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. Marti was born on January 16, 1959, to Robert and Nina (Reeder) Tigner. In addition to her parents, Marti is also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bud” Tigner and Ty’rone “Tye” Tigner; step father, Herbert Reeder.

Marti leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 51 years, James Harrier; son, Richard Tigner; three grandchildren, Samantha Osborn, Morgan (Jacob) Tigner and Victoria Tigner; great grandchildren, Easton, Sophia, Conner, Hudson and Karder; special friend, Lori Spears; mother in law, June Harrier; brother in law, Homer (Candy) Harrier; niece, Shannon (Martin) Harrier-Beckstorm; nephew, Michael Harrier; great niece and nephew, Khloe and Michael Jr. Harrier; as well as many other friends and family.

Joy Arlene Miller, born June 12, 1954, in Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on April 13th, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Galigher and Dorothy (Mullins) Shimer.

Joy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her loving husband, John Miller Sr.; her children, Misty Miller, Tammy Miller, John Miller Jr., and Robert Miller; her brother, Mark Shimer; her sisters Tammy Shimer (Hampton); Ivy Stanton and Judy Atkinson. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will deeply miss her love and presence.

In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her half-siblings, Davy Shimer and Connie Shimer; her sister, Brenda (Galigher) Palmer; her brother, Jerry Galigher Sr.; her grandson, Michael Clapper; her granddaughter, Jessica Miller; her mother-in-law, Betty Kimes; sisters-in-laws Ruby Tabler and Marsha Wyatt; her brother-in-law, Carl Miller; and her father-in-law, Robert Miller.

Joy will be remembered for her strength, her love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

Joy found happiness in playing bingo, rip-off tickets, and occasionally trying her luck on slot machines. She also loved her flowers and took great pride in making sure her flower beds were complete each spring, often with a little help from her daughters and grandkids. Above all, Joy cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. Her love, strength, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

You may call on the family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10am until 12pm with funeral services starting at 12 pm at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.

Vanessa Cooper passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and deep devotion to those she held closest to her heart.

Vanessa was a proud and loving mother to Terrence Cooper, Xavier Cooper, Brittany Cooper, Kaylee Caw, Makayla Caw,and Brooklyn Watts. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially in the time she spent nurturing and guiding her children.

She is survived by her loving mother, Tammy Cooper; her aunt, Mary Harvey; and her siblings Joe Sumner, Robert Horton, Rocheale Horton, and Ryan Lynum. Vanessa was preceded in death by her sister, Whitney Sumner, and her cousin, Valerie Caplinger, both of whom she held dearly in her heart.

She also shared a special bond with her close cousin, Brice Dusenberry.

Above all, Vanessa’s greatest love was her grandchildren, Brina’e Cutright and Skylar Cutright, who brought her endless pride and happiness. In Vanessa’s eyes, they meant the most, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Vanessa will be remembered for her love of family, her strength through life’s challenges, and the way she made those around her feel valued and cared for. Her memory will live on through all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Our beautiful baby girl gained her angel wings too soon. Aniyah Ann Michelle Smith, born on 4/4/26, passed on 4/10/2026 at Children's Hospital in Columbus Ohio.

Aniyah is survived by her Mommy and Daddy, Kaylee Mullen and Sean Smith; Her sweet sister, Aria Smith; grandparents, Brandie Brewer, Sonya Smith and Jimmy (Nicole) Mullen; great grandparents; special aunt, Mercedes and Tyler Elson; several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Aniyah was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Sheila Brewer and Michelle Tucker; uncle, A.J.

Gerald “Jay” Allen Smith Jr., 52 of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on April 13, 2026. Jay was born on March 5, 1974, to Gerald Sr. and Darlene Smith.

Jay leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Darlene; father, Gerald Sr.; wife, Shannon; two children, Gavin (Sable) and Garrett; significant other, Amy; two stepchildren, Trevor and Shane; granddaughter, Annalynn; brother, Shane; half-brothers, Kevin and Jody.

Jay was a loving father to his two boys, Gavin and Garrett. He was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family and friends. Jay was always quick with a joke. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. His biggest hobby in life was cars; he enjoyed everything about them. Jay was a person that always stopped to help someone in need no matter if it was a friend or stranger. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

James Aaron Rognon, 73, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at 7:29 AM on April 7, 2026, at Altercare Zanesville.

James was born May 18,1952 to Fred and Elnora (Porter) Rognon in Marietta OH.

Jim graduated from Philo High School in 1970.

He worked as manager at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl and had a special friendship with Tom Mirgon. And he was a District Manager for KFC in Pacifica, CA. Jim was also a creative basket weaver at the Longaberger Co. and later was employed by the Timken Co. in Canton.

Jim is survived by his son, Jeremy Rognon of Zanesville and granddaughter Khloe Rognon of Cambridge, daughters; Christina Garcia of Pacificia, CA and Kylee McQuain of Columbus, Brothers: John (Linda) Rognon and Jerry (Michelle) Rognon of Zanesville, Sisters: Jan Roberts of Hilliard and Judy Wisecarver of Zanesville and brother-in-law, Mike (Joyce) Jones of Corning. Special Aunts: Marilyn Inman of Zanesville and Annabelle Baker of Bakersfield, CA.; Cousins, David Inman of Zanesville and Steve Inman of Philo. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews: Tracy Brandfass of Zanesville, Heather (Derek) Yush of Tuscaloosa, AL, Jessica Mansfield of Zanesville, Josh (Tara) Rognon of Zanesville, Jon (Melinda) Roberts of Parker, CO, Joani (Scott Davis) Untied of Zanesville; Jeff (Jessica) Roberts of Columbus, Denise Hoffmann of Lancaster; John Jones of Corning. Katie (Greg) Browning of Nevada, Kellie Wisecarver of Zanesville, Kacie (Steven Newell Wisecarver of Lancaster. Jim enjoyed the special friendships of Donna Anders of Canton and Anita Dunzweiler of Zanesville. He will be missed by his family, many cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Fred and Enora Rognon of Philo, James was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Jones; brother-in-law Bob Conrad and Aunt Verlyn "Honey" Ritchason, nephew Billy Lee Goldsmith and his beloved basset hound Lilly Belle.

Private family services will be held, and a caring cremation will take place in care of Burrell Funeral Services.
