eSight Empowers the Low Vision Community to Achieve their Dreams
Conrad Lewis had one goal – to help his two legally blind sisters see. Both sisters had Stargardt disease. The electrical engineer spent nearly 30 years tinkering with gadgets and bits of access software he’d encountered at trade shows and through his professional connections, all with the intent of creating a product that could help people living with visual impairments see.
Fast forward to 2017, eSight 3 began changing lives almost immediately after its introduction. Twenty-two-year-old, Rahma Ali, wanted to become a coder, for example, but cataracts limited her vision. eSight gave her the vision she needed to learn how to code in 13 languages. eSight even gave Cosmo Moore the confidence to take his family to the zoo – and to find his way back to them after briefly getting separated. Benjamin Murray cried the first time he saw the skyline of Dayton, all with the help of eSight.
The media began to take notice of the life-changing effect the device has for the visually impaired. Soon after the release of eSight 3, Time magazine named eSight in its list of “The Best Tech of 2017 So Far” and Buzzfeed featured the device on its roster of “6 Inventions Changing British People’s Lives In 2017.”
Founded on the passion for improving sight for visually impaired people, eSight is opening new vistas and new opportunities for people with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and 50+ other conditions that cause vision loss. With the help of eSight, millions of people living with visual impairments can achieve their dreams. Learn more at www.esighteyewear.com
