We are very excited to share today that Fotmer’s branded product has entered the German market! 🇩🇪

Through an agreement with Cantourage GmbH, a leading European medical cannabis company, we have been able to import and release EUGMP high-quality dried cannabis flowers into this rapidly expanding market, which is currently dominated by just a few companies. This move opens up an entire new market share for us, the EU is projected to be the fastest growing medical cannabis market and Germany is emerging as the largest one within the EU, with 128,000 active patients today.

Exceeding the highest international health standards

Founded in 2016, Fotmer Life Sciences is a world-class medical cannabis cultivator whose operations meet and exceed the highest international health standards. Dedicated to the alleviation of unnecessary suffering, through its provision of a trustworthy supply of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis, from an optimal position in Latin America. Its strategic placement in Uruguayan tax-free zones allows Fotmer to double down on its ethos of quality by bringing together the most qualified team in the industry. This allows Fotmer to exceed International quality and safety standards for cultivation. Over the years Fotmer has emerged as a benchmark for the future of the medical cannabis supply chain after years of a diligent and unwavering focus on the highest quality physical delivery.

Fotmer currently operates two facilities in the country. The Montevideo facility, a multi-purpose research and development, genetics and extraction lab that is good agricultural and collection practices (GACP) certified by the WHO and EMEA. The production-focused facility in Nueva Helvecia which spans three-hectares of cultivation and includes a 1000m2 facility for the drying, curing and packaging of medicinal cannabis flowers. Both facilities are purpose-built to European Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP) standards with expected certification by Q4 2019. Fotmer Life Sciences will produce 5 metric tonnes of biomass in 2019. The company currently employs nearly 200 people.

Licensed exclusively for medical applications in a UN convention compliant supply structure - and in addition to existing permissions from Australia and Canada - Fotmer is honoured to have been recognized by the most respected European regulators as an eligible and trusted supply source.
