I'm a little late for 🐶
This post is more about my dad who passed away in April. I just wanted to honor his memory with a picture of us and my first dog Babe. I miss so many things about him. I share his love of nature and the outdoors.
Is it any wonder where my affinity for black dogs came from? The third photo is of one of my current dogs, Cleo.🖤
P.S. I had asked for a baby brother or sister and my parents got me a dog instead. 😆

Este post es más sobre mi papá que falleció en abril. Sólo quería honrar su memoria con una foto de nosotros y mi primera perra Babe. Echo de menos tantas cosas de él. Comparto su amor por la naturaleza y el aire libre.
¿De dónde viene mi afinidad por los perros negros? La tercera foto es de una de mis perras actuales, Cleo.🖤
P.D. Yo había pedido un hermanito o hermanita y mis padres me regalaron una perra en su lugar. 😆

Hoy es el Día Mundial del Perro. Destacamos a Daisy, una perra anciana. Daisy fue encontrada abandonada en la ruta en mal estado. Es vieja y ciega y alguien la dejó allí sola. Una buena samaritana la rescató y otra alma bondadosa ha estado cuidando de ella.
Como puedes imaginar, Daisy no hace mucho ejercicio. Le gusta comer y ha ganado mucho peso. Empezó a beber agua y a orinar en exceso. Un examen veterinario ha confirmado que Daisy tiene diabetes. No hay forma de saber si este fue el motivo por el que fue abandonada.
Ahora Daisy sigue una dieta especial y su cuidadora trabaja para regular su diabetes. Para ello, comprueba regularmente sus niveles de glucosa y le administra inyecciones de insulina. Daisy ya ha perdido 2 kg, pero parece que su cuerpo es resistente a la insulina. Va y viene al veterinario para que le controle los niveles y le aumente la dosis de insulina.
No ha sido fácil. Las facturas del veterinario, la comida especial, la insulina y las tiras reactivas se van acumulando. No queremos decepcionar a Daisy como hicieron sus anteriores dueños. Today is World Dog Day. We highlight Daisy, an elderly dog. Daisy was found abandoned on the road in bad condition. She is old and blind and someone left her there alone. A good Samaritan rescued her and another kind soul has been taking care of her.
As you can imagine, Daisy doesn't get much exercise. She likes to eat and has gained a lot of weight. She started drinking water and urinating excessively. A veterinary exam has confirmed that Daisy has diabetes. There is no way of knowing if this was the reason she was abandoned.
Daisy is now on a special diet and her caregiver is working to regulate her diabetes. To do this, she regularly checks her glucose levels and gives her insulin injections.

Desafía tus miedos, aprende cosas nuevas. Puedes abrir una puerta a un mundo nuevo. Decidí tomar clases de equitación. Uso mi respiración de yoga y estoy presente en el momento, escuchando lo que me dice el lenguaje corporal del caballo y sintiendo la fluidez del movimiento cuando nos conectamos. Muy agradecido a este maravilloso caballo Pachon (no es mi caballo) y al gran domador racional .g .
Challenge your fears, learn new things. You may open a door to a new world. I decided to take horse riding lessons. I am using my yoga breath and being present in the moment, listening to what the horse's body language tells me and feeling the fluidity of motion when we connect. Very greatful to this wonderful horse Pachon (he is not my horse) and to the great trainer .g .

Murringa es una mezcla de caniche de 4 años. Está esterilizada y se lleva bien con niños, gatos y otros perros. Murringa puede ser tímida y tímida, pero cuando se le da la oportunidad es una niña dulce, cariñosa y feliz. Murringa necesita un hogar donde pueda estar en la casa y ser parte de la familia. 🤗🧡🐶
Murringa is a 4 year old Poodle mix. She is spayed and gets along well with children, cats and other dogs. Murringa can be shy and timid, but when given the opportunity she is a sweet, affecionate and happy girl. Murringa needs a home where she can be in the house and a part of the family.

🖤🖤🖤 Black Dog Day on October 1st encourages the adoption of a dog in the darker shades. Black dogs are less likely to be adopted for no other reason than their coloring. Regardless of behavior, size, breeding, personality, or age, the phenomenon persists.
You’ll find their behavior no different from dogs of a different color. They fetch, play, and wag their tails just the same. They come in short hair, long-haired and shaggy breeds, too. Every ear, tail, bark, and size comes in some beautiful shade of black. Big paws and little paws too, they all need forever homes.
If you are seeking to add a canine companion to your pack, consider adopting one with an ebony sheen. ¡Hoy es el Día Mundial del Perro!
Es un día para celebrar a nuestros amigos peludos de cuatro patas Y para crear conciencia sobre la inmensa cantidad de perros que están abandonados y esperando que una familia los adopte.
Las investigaciones muestran que tener un perro es excelente para el bienestar físico y mental. Nos dan amor incondicional y nos hacen compañía. Acariciar a tu perro reduce la presión arterial, ralentiza la respiración y libera la tensión muscular, lo que te ayuda a sentir menos ansiedad y estrés.
Los dueños de perros realizan más actividad física diaria y viven más tiempo. Salir a pasear con tu perro también crea oportunidades para socializar más con otras personas. Si aún no tienes un perro, ¿a qué estás esperando?

Today is World Dog Day!
It's a day to celebrate our furry, four-legged friends AND to raise awareness about the immense number of dogs that are abandoned and waiting for a family to adopt them.
Research shows that owning a dog is great for physical and mental wellbeing. They give us unconditional love and keep us company. Petting your dog lowers your blood pressure, slows down breathing and releases muscle tension, which all help you feel less stress and anxiety.
Dog owners get more daily physical activity and live longer. Going outside for walks with your dog also creates opportunities to socialize more with other people. If you don't already own a dog, what are you waiting for?
