Ms. V. in action at Baby's Inn Nursery in St. Thomas - incorporating floor play and reading into her speech-language therapy session!

Reading daily with toddlers, even for just 10 minutes a day, is a hugely impactful way to support vocabulary development, language skills, and communication.

And it doesn't need to be simply "reading." We can see here how Ms. V. is engaging with this child by pointing to pictures and talking about what they see in the book. So many opportunities to model words and promote learning!

Ms. Vernisha Hodge is such a wonderful addition to our team!

Two new faces in the St. Croix clinic for the next couple months - Miranda and Lauren, our speech language therapy externs! Guided by our fantastic SLPs, Ms. Dora and Ms. Allison, they'll be helping to support our JS Therapies children with speech, language, literacy, and all modes of communication!

Thank you to ENMU CDIS Program and Mount St. Joseph- Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences for entrusting us with clinical education and mentorship for your students! We know they will enjoy their time in St. Croix, both in and out of the clinic! ☀️🏝️💕
