Cane Bay Cares

Cane Bay Cares Cane Bay Cares is a service initiative of Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP, a company based in USVI. Croix and the surrounding U.S. Croix and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Cane Bay Cares’ dedication to long-term support came on the heels of the devastating September of 2017, which saw the United States Virgin Islands battered by successive category 5 hurricanes. Cane Bay Cares started as a $1 million fundraising campaign that provided direct relief to the citizens of St. Virgin Islands, helping them recover from the aftermath of the hurricanes’ destruction. Initially offering generators to organizations, community centers and churches, Cane Bay Cares contributions later expanded to offering food and other essentials to devastated citizens. Thanks to philanthropic efforts like the Cane Bay Cares Initiative, the U.S. Virgin Islands are on the road to recovery from this historic pairing of natural disasters. Since its establishment in 2017, Cane Bay Cares has dedicated its charity program to making a lasting positive impact on St. BEYOND HURRICANES IRMA AND MARIA

Just because Hurricanes Maria and Irma are largely in the rearview mirror does not mean that Cane Bay Cares has ceased their humanitarian endeavors. Co-Founders of Cane Bay Partners VI, LLLP, David Johnson and Kirk Chewning, established this initiative for their beloved island of St. Croix. Their connection to the island is reflected in the various efforts in which their initiative is an active participant. Aside from their monumental hurricane relief effort, their charitable actions include donations to roof repair programs and educational institutions like the University of The Virgin Islands, among many others. AN AWARD WINNING INITIATIVE

Cane Bay Cares is an award winning charitable giving foundation partnered with the St. Croix Foundation. On Saturday, March 30 2019, it was crowned Nonprofit of the Year by the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce during the organization’s annual Awards Gala. The winning of this award is rather timely as it comes on the eve of developing a project-based learning, after-school program called Operation Inspire. Operation Inspire is just one example of many investments that the Cane Bay Cares initiative has undergone. Examples of developmental programs that the initiative has supported include contribution to The World Ocean School, the Coral Reef Academy, Project Promise, and each of the island’s junior high schools.

We were proud to support the St. Croix Coordinating Council’s Advent VI Pulse Drum Band with a donation earlier this year. 🎶

The band brought incredible energy and spirit to this morning’s Veteran’s Day Parade in Christiansted, and we were thrilled to see them in action. 🇺🇸

Formed about ten years ago, Advent VI Pulse helps St. Croix youth develop musical skills, build meaningful relationships, and engage in education and community service. They are an inspiring example of how music can unite and empower the next generation. ❤️🥁

A huge thank you to the VIPD for hosting such a fun, family-friendly event and giving us the opportunity to participate! We had an amazing time connecting with the community and spreading a little Halloween cheer.

We’d also like to give a big shout-out to our CBC team for making it all possible — from donating candy and creating our award-winning trunk to helping with setup, breakdown, and greeting everyone at our table throughout the day. Your creativity and teamwork made us shine!

And of course, thank you to our volunteers who came out to lend a hand with setup, breakdown, and table support — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Events like these remind us how lucky we are to have such a dedicated and community-minded team.
