It was so good to meet up with fellow Virgin Islander thought leader and subject matter expert among other accolades in the HIV/AIDS world Dr. Giselle Pemberton. She is such an inspiration.

Bennie and Martha Benjamin Foundation Donates Two State-of-the-Art Ultra-Sound Machines to Frederiksted Health Care

Frederiskted Health Care, Inc. (FHC) welcomed David and Tina Beale, the Executors of the Bennie and Martha Benjamin Foundation to the FCH Mid Island Health Center on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The Beale’s were greeted by our Leadership team and members of FHC’s Board of Directors.

The Bennie and Martha Foundation has been a staunch supporter of FHC and recently donated two brand new state-of-the-art ultrasound machines to the Health Center. These ultrasound machines have superior capabilities and allow for better detection of fetal anomalies. With these machines our Health Center has been able to expand ultrasound services to include the ability to offer Fetal Cardiology services to our patients. The machines allow FHC to conduct fetal echoes which help to detect cardiac anomalies in babies before they are born. Our Fetal Cardiology services provide parents with advanced notice to assist them with making arrangements for deliveries at facilities that are capable of meeting the needs of their babies. This helps to alleviate stress and avoid delays in care.

On behalf of the FHC Board of Directors, leadership, and staff we are truly grateful for the continued support provided by the Bennie and Martha Foundation. The foundation continues to be a strong partner in FHC’s commitment to provide superior healthcare to all residents and to those most vulnerable in our community.
