We’re proud to share that Dr. Kniquiah Hughes recently attended the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) 37th General Assembly Meeting (GAM) in Bangkok as President of the Association of Caribbean Occupational Therapists, joining 100+ occupational therapy delegates from around the world.
This global gathering focused on what matters most: advocacy, research, education, and professional practice—with delegates collaborating, problem-solving, and voting on key actions to strengthen international partnerships and guide the future of occupational therapy.
Key takeaway for the Caribbean:
✅ Strengthening regional advocacy and collaboration
✅ Investing in education, accreditation, and workforce development
✅ Aligning with global strategies to keep OT services sustainable and accessible for our communities
At COG VI, we celebrate leadership that ensures the Caribbean voice is heard, and that our patients and communities benefit from global innovation and partnership.
