⚠️⚠️⚠️ WHAT IS ABNORMAL S***M?
Abnormal s***m are s***m whose shape, size, and structure are changed compared to normal s***m. Normal s***m will have an oval head and a long tail. Abnormal s***m often have a strange head shape, an extra head or an extra tail.
S***m morphology is assessed through semen analysis results. To perform the test, specialists use the patient's newly released semen and examine the s***m cells under a microscope. Semen analysis results include indicators of s***m motility, morphology, density, quantity, pH, etc.
How many types of abnormal s***m are there?
Normal s***m will have an oval head, an intact body, and a single, uncoiler tail. S***m with normal morphology will swim well in a straight line. At the same time, normal s***m will also contain healthy genetic information instead of having too many or too few chromosomes, which is common in s***m with morphological abnormalities. (1)
