💛 FV SHARES NUTRITIONAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL HEALTH STRATEGIES TO HELP SENIORS LIVE STRONG, HEALTHY, AND CONFIDENT LIVES

💛 On October 22, 2025, FV Hospital hosted a public seminar titled “Healthy Ageing – Nutrition and Musculoskeletal Healthcare Strategies for Elderly” on 3rd Floor, F Building. In a warm, positive atmosphere, nearly 50 attendees joined an engaging, informative session focused on maintaining strength, vitality and confidence in later life.

Dr Do Thanh Long, Specialist Level 1- Geriatric Department opened the session with a blend of humour and empathy, offering clear perspectives on health care in older age.

Following this, Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Huong, Specialist Level II – Rheumatology Unit, Internal Medicine Department addressed common concerns about osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

A highlight of the seminar was Specialist Level II, Nguyen Viet Quynh Thu, MD, MSc – Head of Dietetics & Nutrition Department, who shared nutritional strategies for healthy ageing. Her sharing added a practical dimension to health care.

After the enriching medical discussions, Mr. Bui Van Dam, Executive Chef of FV Bistro, delighted guests with a live presentation of wholesome, beautifully prepared dishes, underscoring the seminar’s key message: “Eat well to live well.”

FV Hospital offers a comprehensive birth preparation programme to prepare you for your journey towards motherhood.

Our team to assist you consist of an anaesthetist, a nutritionist, midwives, a physiotherapist and a psychologist and they will provide you essential information and guidance.
The entire programme includes 5 sessions covering different periods of pregnancy, and our aim is to give you the best experience possible.

- Our classes are held on the 5th floor, F Building – Room 541, Maternity Ward.
- We encourage you to commence the classes as early as 14 weeks of pregnancy.
- We suggest you complete all the 5 sessions.

🎓 FV MARKS ITS FIRST MILESTONE IN TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF DOCTORS

After 12 months of study and clinical practice in an international standard setting, 12 junior doctors officially graduated from the Practical Instructing Programme for the Issue of Medical Practice Licences to Medical Doctors at FV Hospital. FV Hospital is one of the first private hospitals in Vietnam approved by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to provide practical training for medical doctors.

The FV Board of Directors, more than 40 supervising doctors, representatives of medical universities, and the graduates’ families attended the ceremony, sharing a meaningful milestone in the graduates’ journey to practising medicine with dedication and professionalism.

⭐️ WORLD-LEADING CORNEAL EXPERT – PROF. DONALD TAN RESTORES EYESIGHT AT FV HOSPITAL FROM 19TH – 22ND NOVEMBER 2025

From 19th – 22nd November, 2025, Prof. Donald Tan, former President of the World Corneal Society, will perform corneal transplants for patients with corneal ulcers, corneal dystrophy and corneal scarring at FV’s Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery Department.

Corneal transplant surgery is the optimal treatment to help reduce the rate of blindness caused by corneal diseases. However, in most corneal transplant cases in Vietnam for the time being, patients have to wait for donor cornea tissue to become available, or spend money seeking treatment overseas.

⭐️ FV has applied many worldwide advanced corneal transplanting methods to help increase its transplant success rate as well as ensure less complications after surgery. These include:

- Penetrating keratoplasty – removal of the whole cornea
- Anterior lamellar keratoplasty – removal of the damaged part of the cornea, retaining the heathy part
- “Tooth in eye” surgery – for those with severe corneal damage
- Corneal surface reconstruction
- Artificial corneal transplants
- Endothelial keratoplasty
