WHY DOES THE FACE HAVE ACNE?
🔹 1. Overactive sebaceous glands
The body (especially during puberty, or in women when hormonal changes) secretes a lot of oil.
Excess oil mixes with dead cells → clogs pores, creating conditions for bacteria to grow.
🔹 2. Cutibacterium acnes bacteria (formerly called Propionibacterium acnes)
This is a bacteria that normally lives on the skin. When it encounters a clogged environment (due to oil, dust, cosmetics...), it multiplies and causes inflammation, redness, pus → acne.
🔹 3. Hormonal disorders
Occurs when:
During puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, or premenopause.
Prolonged stress, little sleep.
Using birth control pills, corticosteroids, anabolic steroids...
Increased androgen hormones → stimulate the sebaceous glands to work more strongly → inflammatory acne, pimples on the chin, jaw, lower cheeks.
🔹 4. Diet and lifestyle
Eating a lot of sugar, animal milk, fried foods, spicy foods, carbonated soft drinks → increased insulin, stimulates oil secretion.
Lack of sleep, stress, staying up late → increased cortisol → increased inflammation and sebum.
Drinking little water, few green vegetables → the skin does not detoxify well.
🔹 5. Improper skin hygiene
Not removing makeup thoroughly, washing the face too much or using strong cleansers → destroying the skin's protective barrier.
Dirty makeup tools, masks, pillows, phones → bring bacteria to the skin.
Frequently squeezing pimples with hands → infection → large, painful pimples.
🔹 6. Some diseases in the body
Liver, intestines, endocrine or poor digestion → the body detoxifies through the skin.
Recurrent boils in the same location may be related to folliculitis, staphylococcus, or chronic dermatological diseases.
