🌐 In this session, SeniorBuddy Precious and Senior Juliet Onyia explored how language carries much more than meaning. It reflects respect, values, belonging, and the unique cultural practices that shape everyday life. Through Juliet’s sharing, the conversation opened a beautiful window into how language is deeply tied to tradition and self-understanding.
What made this session especially meaningful was the way it moved naturally from language into stories of food, habits, and cultural pride. Juliet’s reflections showed that TECD is not only a space for discussion, but also a space where Seniors can share lived experiences in ways that feel personal, vivid, and deeply human. From greetings and customs to thoughts on food and daily life, the session became a warm form of storytelling rooted in real culture.
🚀 More importantly, the conversation carried a strong message about legacy — the responsibility of preserving language and teaching younger generations where they come from. It reminded us that when Seniors are given space to speak about culture, they are also speaking about continuity, memory, and identity.

Connect DAO is a global community within the 𝐃𝐀𝐎 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐃𝐄𝐏) dedicated to creating meaningful intergenerational connections through structured online TECD Connection Sessions. Its mission is to reduce social isolation among seniors while giving young people opportunities to learn, listen, and bond across cultures and continents.
Since launch, Connect DAO has been driving digital inclusion and intergenerational engagement by focusing on digital literacy, memory games, and guided TECD platform sessions — all designed to foster joyful interaction and shared learning between Seniors and SeniorBuddies.

✔ Outreach and recruitment of 16 Seniors who are actively participating in sessions.
✔ Several pilot TECD engagement sessions completed, with facilitators documenting interactions and insights.
✔ Outreach tools and guidelines created to help seniors onboard and participate with confidence.
✔ Rapid troubleshooting of early technical issues (verification, navigation, onboarding) with clear communication and support.
✔ Strong documentation and story collection underway — ready to share voices and reflections from participants.
While challenges in platform usability and outreach emerged early, the team continuously refines its approach with empathy, adaptability, and commitment to impact.
