Ever since I started using brown rice water and brown rice paste as a hair pack, it’s become one of my favourite natural treatments for strong, healthy hair. 🌾✨

Here’s how I make it:
I soak brown rice overnight — this allows the water to ferment. The next morning, I use both the fermented water and the softened rice itself. When blended together, it forms a creamy, antioxidant-rich paste that coats the hair beautifully and stays in place.

💆‍♀️ Why it works:
🌿 Brown rice is rich in antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins that nourish the scalp.
💧 The fermented rice water helps balance scalp pH, strengthens hair follicles, and promotes natural shine.
🧠 It also helps prevent scalp cell damage and supports healthier hair growth over time.

I usually leave this pack on for about an hour before washing it off — the results are smoother, stronger, and more resilient hair.

Sometimes, the simplest kitchen ingredients can work wonders when used the right way! 🌸

Let’s talk about sweeteners — both natural and artificial — and what you really need to know before choosing one. 🍯

There are two broad categories:

1️⃣ Natural sweeteners like jaggery, fruit juices, agave, or maple syrup — while these are more wholesome, regular or excessive use can still spike your insulin levels and disrupt blood sugar balance.

2️⃣ Artificial or synthetic sweeteners — these are lab-made or refined versions of natural sugars. They’re often marketed as “zero-calorie” or “no added sugar” alternatives. While they may save you calories, they don’t come without risk. Long-term use can interfere with gut health, insulin sensitivity, and even your metabolic response.

So, what’s considered safe? 🧐
👉 GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) sweeteners include Stevia and Tagatose — the latter being a low-GI option even for diabetics.
But a word of caution — many Stevia products on the market are blended with sugar alcohols like maltitol or sorbitol, which may not suit everyone and can cause bloating or digestive issues.

💡 Bottom line: No form of sugar — natural or artificial — should become an everyday habit.
Practice moderation, read your labels carefully, and remember: your goal should always be to retrain your palate to enjoy natural sweetness from whole foods. 🌿

Share this reel with someone who adds “zero sugar” sweeteners to their tea or coffee every day — they’ll thank you for it! 💬

There’s something so grounding about making your own lemongrass tea — the aroma, the warmth, and the gentle calm it brings. 🌿💛

I love using fresh lemongrass leaves, pounding them lightly to release their natural oils and then simmering them in water to make a light, fragrant tea. It’s one of those simple rituals that can instantly restore balance.

Here’s why you should try it:
🍃 Digestive Support: Helps reduce bloating and improves gut motility.
💧 Natural Detox: Flushes out toxins and supports liver health.
💤 Calming Effect: Known to reduce anxiety and promote restful sleep.
❤️ Anti-inflammatory & Antioxidant: Helps the body fight oxidative stress.
🌸 Immunity Boost: Its antibacterial and antifungal properties make it a perfect tea for seasonal changes.

Enjoy it warm, with a slice of lime if you like — it’s a simple, soothing way to unwind and nourish from within.

✨ : Three Points to Reduce Indigestion and Heartburn ✨

Acupressure is one of my favourite self-healing tools — simple, effective, and rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These three points can help ease indigestion, acidity, and heartburn by stimulating the flow of energy (Qi) through your digestive system.

💆‍♀️ Here’s how to use them:

1️⃣ St 36 (Stomach 36) — Located below the knee, this point strengthens the stomach, boosts digestion, and improves energy flow throughout the body.
2️⃣ Sp 4 (Spleen 4) — Found on the inner foot, this point supports spleen function, reduces bloating, and helps regulate digestive imbalances.
3️⃣ Pc 6 (Pericardium 6) — Located on the inner wrist, this point helps relieve nausea, acid reflux, and heartburn by calming both the stomach and the nervous system.

👉 Apply gentle, circular pressure on each point for 1–2 minutes while breathing deeply.
This routine is most effective before meals or when you feel discomfort coming on.

🌿 Remember, your digestive health reflects how well your energy flows. Pairing these practices with mindful eating and balanced meals can make a world of difference.

✨ 10 Metrics to Look for When Assessing Your Health ✨

Good health is not just about lab reports or the number on a scale — it’s how you feel every single day. In my practice, I remind clients that true wellness shows up in subtle yet powerful ways when your body is in balance. 🌿

Here are 10 natural signs that indicate your body is working for you, not against you:

1️⃣ Abundant energy — You wake up refreshed and sustain energy throughout the day.
2️⃣ Lack of cravings — Your body feels satisfied and nourished, not constantly seeking sugar or caffeine.
3️⃣ Restful sleep — You fall asleep easily and wake up restored.
4️⃣ No gut issues — Regular elimination, no bloating, and a calm digestive system.
5️⃣ Vitality — A natural glow and zest for life.
6️⃣ Healthy skin — Clear, hydrated, and free from chronic breakouts or dullness.
7️⃣ Less need for stimulants — You function well without relying on coffee or sugar for energy.
8️⃣ Healthy hair — Strong, shiny, and vibrant hair is a reflection of good nutrition and circulation.
9️⃣ Good stress response — You bounce back from challenges with calm and resilience.
🔟 Healthy weight — Your body naturally finds its balance without extreme diets.

Remember — balance is not achieved overnight. It’s cultivated through mindful eating, restorative sleep, movement, and emotional stability. 🌸

🌱 How to Stop Overeating Naturally 🌱

Overeating is often not just about willpower — it’s your body’s way of signalling imbalance, especially when the stomach is too warm or inflamed.

Here are simple ways to bring balance back:
🥗 Add cooling foods like raw veggies and fruit regularly
🌿 Include bitter foods such as celery or lettuce during or after meals
🍲 Soups and stews help you feel satisfied without overeating
💧 When you feel thirsty between meals, hydrate with water or herbal drinks
🚫 Cut down on fried, salty, or warming foods like roasted nuts and seeds — they inflame the stomach and trigger excess hunger

It’s all about balance — once your digestion cools down and your stomach feels settled, the urge to overeat fades naturally.

My favourite vegetable has to be the red pumpkin! Since I naturally gravitate toward sweet foods, including pumpkin in my diet was a huge help when I switched off sugar. It gives me that gentle sweetness, keeps my energy balanced, and tastes absolutely delicious — whether I’m making Indian-style vegetables, Western soups, or even halwa! 😋

Also known as squash in the U.S., it has this beautiful gathering energy — calming, grounding, and nurturing — perfect for days when you need to center yourself.

🌿 Why I love it:
✨ Amazing for skin — rich in Vitamins A, E, C, folate & trace minerals
✨ Anti-inflammatory & antioxidant-rich
✨ Energetically grounding and balancing

Here’s my Red Pumpkin Soup Recipe — a bowl full of warmth and comfort 🍵

Ingredients (serves 3–4):
2 medium leeks (or green onions)
2 tsp ghee or cold-pressed sesame oil
3 cups red pumpkin (bhopla/lal kaddu)
¼ tsp sea/rock salt
2½ cups water
⅛ tsp black pepper
1 cinnamon stick
1 tbsp ginger juice
Minced parsley for garnish

Method:
1️⃣ Clean and slice leeks lengthwise.
2️⃣ Heat oil, add pumpkin and salt, sauté for a minute. Add water and coconut milk, bring to a boil, then simmer with pepper & cinnamon for 15 minutes.
3️⃣ Remove cinnamon stick, blend with ginger juice, and return to pot to warm.
4️⃣ Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

It’s creamy, comforting, and full of natural sweetness — a perfect dish for the season. 🍂

✨ ✨

Psoriasis is more than a skin condition—it’s an autoimmune challenge rooted in inflammation and gut imbalance. Over the years, I’ve seen how food and lifestyle changes can dramatically shift symptoms, reduce flare-ups, and bring the body back into balance.

Rajat and Zuni’s journeys are proof. With a gut-strengthening, toxin-clearing, and pH-balancing macrobiotic approach, they saw their skin heal, energy rise, and confidence return. 🌿

My psoriasis protocol goes beyond diet charts—it uses macrobiotic tools, yin-yang balance, facial and meridian diagnosis, and carefully chosen foods to calm inflammation, detoxify the body, and restore harmony. This is not a quick fix, but a path to sustained healing.

To anyone living with psoriasis: you are not alone, and healing is possible. 💚
