RIDER DIARIES 12 👉 Caught us at the right time, Louis 💛

🇪🇸 Louis found us on GetYourGuide… and decided to swing by Arch Café on a random Tuesday 😄

📍 No plans, just a “hey, is this Chicks n Bikes?” moment — we love that kind of spontaneous energy.

Our lessons do tend to fill up in advance, and sometimes the team is already out teaching…
👉 but luckily for Louis, a spot opened up that day.

🛵 He jumped straight into our 3.5-hour Ha Giang Loop Crash Course, right in the middle of Hanoi’s 36-degree summer heat 🥵

💭 From those first moments getting used to the bike to staying focused through the heat — he pushed through and made the most of every minute.

By the end: tired, smiling, and ready for what’s next.

RIDER DIARIES 11 👉 Meet Lee

📍 As a resident here, Lee already knows what to expect from Vietnam’s traffic so our aim was to get confident on the bike so we could safely join the “organized chaos”.

🤩She decided to book her first lesson with us because she wanted to learn how to ride an automatic bike, and explore the city on her own!

🛵Let’s be real - booking Grab for multiple stops can get tiring. How many times do you need to pull out your phone, when you could just hop on your own motorbike and go?

⚡️ She started off full of energy! Throughout the session, we focused on:
- Finding balance on an automatic bike
- Blending in with local traffic (yes, that includes mastering the horn 😄)
- Building control in a safe park environment
- Riding with growing confidence and comfort

⭐Now Lee is fully prepared to take her first step into joining the flow.

RIDER DIARIES 10 👉 Level Up Your Ride: Danielle & Bryce Take on Cao Bang💛

🇨🇦Danielle and Bryce came from Canada with one goal: take their riding to the next level for the Cao Bang Loop. They already had some experience riding automatic bikes in Thailand, but Vietnam’s streets are a different story.

🚦Hanoi rush hour was full of surprises — honks, scooters weaving, cars appearing from every direction. At first, it was overwhelming, but they didn’t back down. Step by step, lesson by lesson, they learned how to read traffic, stay calm, and ride safely on semi-automatic bikes.

🛵By the end of the crash course, they were ready for adventure! Smooth turns, confident stops, and a sense of control made them excited to hit the road north.

💪What stood out? Their determination and focus. They weren’t just learning for a lesson; they were preparing for a journey that demanded confidence and awareness.

RIDER DIARIES #9 👉 Sam

🇬🇧Sam is from the UK and booked a full-day lesson because he wanted to learn semi-automatic properly before riding in Vietnam’s countryside.

He wasn’t in a rush and didn’t want a short session. The aim was to understand how the gears actually work over longer rides — not just starting, stopping, or doing loops in one area.

🛵Over the day, we worked on:
when to shift and why
keeping a steady pace on open roads
handling longer stretches without getting tired or tense

⭐️These are the things that matter once you leave the city.

😎By the end of the day, Sam was comfortable riding for extended periods and knew what to pay attention to when he’s out on quieter roads.

🐝A full-day lesson isn’t for everyone, but it’s valuable if you want time, repetition, and space to learn without being pushed.
