The Narßa Academy of Magic
This is the Narßa Academy of Magic, my imaginary version of a Korean Hogwarts. Across the front of the main building is a golden wall painting depicting the history of the Academy, how it came to be built.
As readers of the Harry Potter series will know, the wizarding world lives secretly from the non-magical community. However, in the later part of the 16th century, the chaos of the non-magical world in Korea even affected the wizarding world, and many wizards went on voyages to other parts of the world to find a solution to the problem happening in Korea.
One wizard to embark on such a voyage was called Park. He sailed off in his ship, intending to return after he had found a solution for the Korean wizarding world. As the wall painting shows, near the start of his voyage, he encountered another wizard purely by coincidence, by the name of Lee. Lee too was intending to leave Korea for the same reason as Park, but had no ship. Therefore, Park offered to take Lee along.
However, as the next part of the wall painting shows, their troubles were about to begin. While sailing near the island of Luzon, they were caught in a storm which led them to change directions toward the South China Sea, instead of heading for the Pacific as they had originally intended. But near the island of Hainan, they had an encounter with Chinese pirates which nearly put an end to their voyage.
At this point, the wall painting skips the voyage all the way to the part where the sailors reached Istanbul, neglecting to mention how they had an encounter with Portuguese warships of the coast of Angola, or how the Corsairs nearly sunk their ship in the Mediterranean. In Istanbul, they made a visit to the world-famous Cistern Institute of Sorcery, housed in the then secret Basilica Cistern of Istanbul. There, they saw how the Institute formed the core of the secret wizarding world and how it allowed the magical community to stay separated from non-magical chaos. Therefore, Park and Lee decided to create a Korean equivalent. That is how the Narßa Academy of Magic came to be.
