John Beneth Aru, a 56-year-old from Vanuatu, first noticed a small lump developing on his lip. Initially, he didn’t think much of it, but as the swelling increased, concern began to grow. His daughter-in-law, Lumi, decided to explore medical treatment abroad and started researching the best options available.

During her search, Lumi spoke to a friend who had previously used Vaidam Health and highly recommended their services. Encouraged by this, she reached out to the Vaidam team. After understanding John’s condition, Vaidam swiftly assisted with the medical visa process, arranged doctor appointments, and coordinated their travel. With these logistics taken care of, Lumi felt reassured and could focus entirely on her father-in-law’s wellbeing.

Upon arriving in India, John was admitted to Artemis Hospital in Gurugram and placed under the care of Dr. Pradeep Kumar, a senior oncologist. Following a thorough evaluation, the doctors diagnosed him with a maxillary tumour. Given the complexity of the case, two specialised teams—Onco-Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery—collaborated to perform an extensive procedure to remove the tumour and reconstruct the affected area of John’s face.

The initial days after surgery were challenging due to the severity of his condition, but with Artemis Hospital’s exceptional medical care and close monitoring, John began improving steadily. He gradually regained strength and responded well to ongoing treatment. He is currently on medication and recovering positively.

Impressed by the hospital’s advanced facilities and services, Lumi also took the opportunity to undergo a full-body checkup during their stay. Sharing her experience, she said:
