Today, on HIV Is Not a Crime Awareness Day, we honor the resilience, courage, and humanity of people living with HIV—and call out the laws that criminalize them simply for existing.
Living with HIV is not a crime. Yet in over 30 states, outdated laws rooted in stigma and fear continue to punish people, ignoring decades of scientific progress like U=U (undetectable = untransmittable). These laws don’t just harm—they erase dignity, freedom, and joy.
Today, we amplify voices, lift stories, and celebrate the power of truth and justice. Everyone deserves to live fully, love freely, and experience pleasure without fear. By challenging stigma, demanding equity, and standing together, we move closer to a world where HIV is understood, treated, and never criminalized.
Let’s honor courage. Celebrate progress. And keep fighting for a future where every life is valued. ✊💜
