According to a recent report, cancer is becoming more common in young people—especially women, who account for two-thirds of all cancers diagnosed in people under 50.
While this trend isn't completely new, doctors cannot completely explain what’s fueling the increases. But they do have some guesses, stemming from environment, policy, and culture.
