Since the 1970's the prevalence of chronic weight gain has increased multi-fold, with 1.9 billion people being overweight. This rise in the number of overweight people has given birth to a whole new market of "Fad Dieting" where people are nutritionally deprived of nutrients, food, or are given food items harmful for them in the long run, but with the short term goal of loosing weight. It is immensely important that the general public be aware, that Fad diets will not help you, but will only make your health worse. Some Fad diets even have the potential to put you on the path to Insulin Resistance, Diabetes, and Heart Disease. The best and ideal way for healthy long term weight loss, is to follow a balanced diet, exercise, and incorporate a few changes in your lifestyle, such as waking up early, being more active, and maintaining discipline.
