For thousands of years, Daoist practitioners and hermits have been at the forefront of integrating holistic medicine with energy work and self cultivation. From the first works on the medicinal properties of plants to the search for the purest herbs for Elixirs to prolong Life, improve health, and heighten awareness, these Masters integrated the bounty of the natural world into their Martial, Healing and Self-cultivation arts.
In this workshop we will explore ways of combining ancient and modern techniques for keeping Healthy and to enhance the ability of the immune system to Protect us from Environmental Bacteria, Viruses and Toxins as well as internally induced events that stimulate the disease process. This workshop will introduce how to integrate Certified Pure Therapeutic grade Essential Oils into a few Daoist Qigong practices to Cleanse, Balance, Restore and Energize the body, treat the Immune System and Internal Organs and improve overall Health.

In 2005 Grand Master Yuanming Zhang established the World Federation of Reflex Medicine and in 2006 in in conjunction with the World Reflexology Association held a Conference for academic exchange at the United Nations Headquarters.

This class is perfect for both beginners and those who are LMTs, reflexologists and energy healers. This will be held at the Awaken Boutique in the McKinley Mall, 5-5:45 pm and cost is $30. Registration is requested to receive the handouts! Contact 716-803-0113 to register!

We were taught how to utilize our minds, but we are not normally taught how to turn our minds off or how to quiet our minds, or to sit still without thinking, or to see without analyzing. I know people who are terrified of the quietness, the stillness and who would do anything not to be there. And I would say to these people, it’s not what you think it is. It’s a place of awareness and freedom.

I encourage you to sit quietly somewhere and do nothing. Have no intention of doing anything or thinking about anything and just see what happens. 😉

Or try doing meditation without a goal or a desired outcome so your mind has nothing to hang onto and nothing to do and then watch your mind trying to occupy itself. It’s fascinating how clever your mind is and how cleverly it fills up space.

I don’t use meditation as my main practice, I use Qigong and Taiji to take me into this experience and it is a wonderful place of quietness and stillness and gives me a better understanding of who I am and what I believe I’m really here for.

Try it, you have nothing to lose except for a few thoughts and I‘m sure it won’t hurt you to think less.

Have a peaceful day today,
Pete C
