This time of year can feel especially emotional when you’re trying to conceive and it’s not going how you expected it would.

There are more social events, more emotions, more questions… and often, more is asked of you than you have to give.

And while you can’t avoid every trigger or magically remove the stress of this journey, you can support the way your body moves through it.

One of the most effective tools I’ve seen, both in my own life and in the women I support every day is conscious, intentional breathing.

No forcing yourself to “just relax.”

No pretending things don’t feel devastating and heavy.

As a fertility nutritionist, I talk to women all the time who are…

Blaming themselves.

Losing hope because of one test result.
Seeing their partners sit on the sidelines because their tests were “normal.”

But here’s the truth about these commonly held beliefs about fertility that I wish every couple knew:

🚨”It’s a women’s issue”

✅ Truth: Your future child inherits it’s DNA from BOTH parents, meaning the responsibility to improve both egg and s***m health before conception lies with both equally.

🚨”Low AMH means you can’t get pregnant”

✅ Truth: AMH doesn’t reflect your ability to get pregnant, or tell you anything about your egg quality, which matters more (and can be improved).

🚨”PCOS or endometriosis means automatic IVF”

✅ Truth: Many women conceive naturally by addressing inflammation, hormone balance and addressing their diet first (all things that should be addressed anyway, even if you do choose IVF)

🚨”Normal s***m test = nothing to worry about”

✅ Here’s the shocking truth: “Normal” means he’s in the bottom 5% of men who got their partners pregnant within a year - so we actually want to be aiming higher than this.

🚨”Just wait a year and see what happens”

✅ Truth: If there’s something going on, it may take time to address - so the sooner you can identify it, the sooner you can fix it. There’s no downside to being proactive and taking your fertility into your own hands!

Let’s bust one of the most common fertility myths out there. 👇

Did you know that ovulating on Day 14 probably only happens in about 10% of regular cycles?

According to research, ovulation can actually happen anywhere from 7 to 19 days before your period starts.

So if you’re:

❌ Assuming it’s happening on day 14 or
❌ Letting your app dictate when you have s*x…

You could be missing your most fertile day within the 6 days a month you can get pregnant. 🌿

✨ This is where cycle charting changes everything.

Your body is always giving you clues.

Tracking two simple fertility signs - cervical fluid and basal body temperature (BBT) - will give you a real-time picture of where you’re at in your cycle.

As you’re approaching ovulation, you’ll start to notice:

✅ Cervical fluid becomes clear, slippery & stretchy (like egg whites).
✅ Increased libido: Your body naturally boosts your s*x drive before ovulation.
✅ Some women feel mild cramping or ovulation pain on one side.

And when you’ve ovulated you’ll notice:

✅ Your Basal body temperature rises.

Although your BBT can’t predict ovulation, it still provides excellent information. It can:

→ Confirm ovulation actually happened
→ Reveal the length of your luteal phase
→ Help identify low progesterone levels

Once you’ve tracked these for a few months, you’ll be able to use your patterns to confidently know:

✔️What your fertile window looks like
✔️ Your most fertile day and when you’re most likely to ovulate
✔️ How to time s*x for the highest chance of pregnancy

No more guessing, and no more relying on algorithms.

Just more confidence in your ability to make every cycle count. 💫

When your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, YOU were one of the millions of tiny eggs that were forming in your mothers ovaries.

This means the things your grandmother was:
✅ consuming
✅ experiencing
✅ exposed to

All had an impact on not just your mum, but on you as well.

Recurrent miscarriages. Failed transfers. “Unexplained” infertility.

These experiences are heartbreaking, and often, the missing link lies in a dysfunctional immune system that hasn’t been recognised or addressed.

When the immune system becomes overactive or confused, it can:
