Fascia is the connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body. It surrounds your muscles, supports your structure, and helps everything move together as one system. Think of it as a web or full-body support layer that keeps everything in place and allows smooth movement.

Fascia plays an integral role in piriformis syndrome, a condition in which the piriformis muscle in the buttocks spasms due to fascia tightening and compresses the nearby sciatic nerve, causing deep buttock pain that can radiate down the leg, sometimes with numbness and tingling. Activities like prolonged sitting, running, stair climbing, or repeated movements can overstress the muscle and cause dull aching pain in the gluteal muscles.

So you have deep hip or bottom muscle pain? Piriformis syndrome is a condition where the piriformis muscle in the buttocks spasms and puts pressure on the nearby sciatic nerve, causing deep buttock pain that can radiate down the leg, sometimes with numbness and tingling. Activities like prolonged sitting, running, stair climbing, or repeated movements can overstress the muscle and cause dull aching pain in the bum muscles.

When calves grab on step one.🚷 Standing shifts, long drives, lots of steps, hills, high heels, and even toe gripping in thongs can affect your calves' condition. The calf muscles are actually 2 muscles, the Gastrocnemius and the Soleus, working in union, sliding against each other, allowing us to lift the heel and step. Calves tighten, ankles stop rolling smoothly, and the heel/Achilles start to pull. Stride shrinks, shins complain, and squats feel cranky. Remedial massage helps alleviate congestion in the fascia of the calves and feet, loosening the line from the arch to the back of the knee and restoring ankle mobility, so walking, pushing off, and bending feel natural again. It’s also beneficial to work the front line to assist in counterbalancing fascial tightness.

For thise on whose daily walk has calves that help, not hinder.
