The horse that started it all, the ROAN.

Mason is an irreplaceable gelding. But he’s also a problem child. He has walked into a cattle guard, had a bout of colic that almost killed him, eats wood if he’s bored, had a splinter in his eye, gets ulcers, and most recently, got ran into a fence, which abscessed out his neck. He’s the roany pony, the china doll, my best boy.

This most recent episode has been a headache cut in half because of pemf therapy. From a six by two inch open wound, to almost closed in ten days with pemf.

PEMF is non invasive, no sedatives are required, it can pass over the heart and brain, it increases bio availability, oxygenation, circulation, and decreases inflammation.

Being non invasive, it can give the illusion it isn’t working, but on a horse with a big personality, she made it very obvious the pemf was doing it’s job. Watch for that big “ahhh thank you” aka licking, blinking, yawning that horses do when they relax and feel good!

Our good friend was suffering a migraine yesterday that’s been a long term issue from a collision. So while he was over, we worked on his elbow, shoulders, neck, and obviously addressed the migraine!

Our bovine friends love PEMF too!

This mini jersey has a stifle injury from some rough housing. Stifle injuries take time to heal and can be difficult to treat. Due to the inflammation from this older injury, she’s having some trouble getting around. Luckily the small wings attachment is made for a time like this!

In this position and using this attachment we can catch the entire injury between two pemf applications, known as the helmholtz field. This allows two magnetic waves to travel into the tissue from different directions and create a homogenous magnetic field between the two magnetic waves, rather than the usual frequency which sends a single wave into the tissue, then it phases out between pulses. Below there are pictures of this attachment being used on the cows stifle, a wire cut, and a bowed tendon.

Hopefully the PEMF will reduce the inflammation, manage the pain, and help this injury heal!

Pemf is proven to increase oxygenation and circulation in cells WITHOUT increasing blood pressure or heart rate.

The first picture is a wire cut six days ago, after the first session. The second is after three days, and a daily session. The third picture is five days, five treatments. You can see the small amount of bleeding after treatment, showing that circulation!

This is PEMF:

What you’re seeing is inflammation and tightness being targeted in this horses longissimus dorsi, this muscle runs from the horse 4th neck vertebrae, all the way to their sacrum in the hind quarters. Talk about a big deal! Not only does it sit directly under your saddle, but branches of it connect into the head, and the tail. That’s a lot of muscle to not be feeling 100%!!!!
