The Bilar Primary Care Facility successfully conducted the Program Implementation Review (PIR) last December 14, 2025 showcasing the accomplishments achieved throughout the year.

The activity also served as a re-echo of trainings attended by the staff, along with important updates and discussions on the implementation of various health programs. This review strengthened collaboration among health workers and reaffirmed our commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring quality, accessible healthcare for the community.

A healthy pregnancy begins with complete and timely Antenatal Care (ANC) visits. According to WHO, every pregnant woman should have 𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 8 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌-𝒖𝒑𝒔 to ensure proper monitoring, early detection of complications, improved maternal well-being, and safe birth preparedness. Each visit plays a vital role in protecting both mother and baby throughout the pregnancy journey.

We at the 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 strongly encourage all pregnant women to follow this ANC schedule. Regular check-ups allow us to monitor your health, track your baby’s growth, and provide the right guidance, supplements, and counselling you need.

Even if you are consulting a private OB-Gyne, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 so that your pregnancy records can be properly monitored on our end. This is essential for future records, especially for your baby’s immunizations and other services.

Many mothers come to us only for immunization without any prenatal records on file—this limits our ability to provide complete and accurate care.

Today, the Municipality of Bilar is honored to be awarded and recognized by the Department of Health as Good Practice in Health (GPH) of the municipality of Bilar– a testament to our commitment to innovative and accessible health services awarded at Summit Galleria, Cebu City.

A huge congratulations and heartfelt thanks to LGU Bilar especially to our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Norman Palacio for the initiative behind the Free Physical Therapy Program (Gikan sa Kawad-on Padulong sa Kalig-on)—an effort that has truly made a meaningful impact on the lives of our community members. 🫶🏼

We also extend our appreciation to DOH DMO Ma’am Myra Leonora Salvaleon, our Rural Health Physician Dr. Junica Mel Calubaquib-Elmenzo, and all the dedicated staff of Bilar PCF for their continuous support and hard work in pushing this program forward.
