Healing is not linear. Some days you feel expansive. Other days you feel tender. Both are valid. Regulation often looks like allowing yourself to move at a pace your body can actually integrate.

Regulation doesn’t mean you never feel stress. It means you can return to center. When you’re regulated, your breath is steady, your thoughts are clearer, and your body feels more grounded. When overwhelmed, everything speeds up or shuts down.

Sometimes when anxiety kicks in, our minds start running ahead of us…thinking about everything that could go wrong or what we should have done differently.

A simple thing you can try in those moments is **tuning into your senses**.

Look around and notice a few things you can see.
Listen for sounds around you.
Feel your feet on the ground or the chair you’re sitting in.

It might seem small, but bringing your attention back to what’s actually around you can help your nervous system settle a bit.

You don’t have to fix everything in that moment. Sometimes the goal is just **coming back to where you are.**
