People wonder , “Why do you still do sickle cell advocacy when God has changed your children’s genotype?”
And my answer is simple....
Healing did not erase the journey.
The miracle did not silence the assignment.
The same God who healed my children is the God who walked with us through the valley.
I have seen the nights of pa^in, the fe^ar, the hospital rooms, the prayers whispered with shaking faith and I have also seen God's faithfulness.
The Bible says:
“Blessed be God… who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3–4
If God comforted me, healed my children, and showed me His power, how can I keep quiet while others are still cry^ing for hope?
And some will make the same mistake and end up birthing kids with sickle cell anemia?
I no want make anybody pass this road wey I pass ...not an easy journey.
Jesus healed many, yet He stayed to teach, to touch, to lift others.
My children’s healing is not the end of the story,it is the proof that God is present in this journey.
So I speak.
I educate.
I stand with caregivers.
I remind those living with sickle cell that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten by God.
Because a miracle received is not meant to stop with you,it is meant to become a lifeline for others.
And until every family has hope, understanding, and light in this journey,
I will continue.
Not from pain.
Not from pity.
But from purpose.
