We dream of a world in which each of us discovers the great love that lives within.
That we can learn to detach from the need for love outside of our being & learn to fill our own vessels.
A world in which we teach our children that the quest for love sold to them in fairytales & Disney movies is a distraction from the true love they already posses.
A world in which we shift our focus from pursuing the love & approval from others & instead focus our energy on discovering our great capacity to love — fostering fullness within ourselves.
As children we are fed this idea that happily ever after waits for us on the other side of “finding the one” but as adults in relationships (or not) we learn that real happiness takes work — inner work.
That life is a journey not a destination.
That in life we will lose, we will struggle, & stumble & fall.
That we will rebuild & carry on & lose again.
We learn that we have a responsibility to ourselves, to care for, nurture & love ourselves.
That in our most difficult times we will see ourselves through.
This is not to say we don’t need or won’t have the support of others, because we will & do, but only one person will travel this entire road with you… YOU. And within YOU lives an incredible love, the kind of love that forgives & accepts & carries on even when we don’t know how. The kind of love that breaks barriers & helps strangers. The love that can fill & overflow from you. The love that serves the whole. The love that can never be taken & never runs out.
So tell the children of this world of that love. Of the magic that lives within them. Tell them to be true to themselves, speak up when things aren’t right, trust themselves, foster & recognize that everything that they quest for lives within themselves, they are already complete, already full, already enough. Tell your inner child.
