Outcomes are beyond our control. By letting go of the outcome, being patient and trusting that the universe has our back, you find much greater peace, resolution and the outcome you desire.

Sometimes the best course of action is to patiently wait and allow circumstances to unfold in their own time and in their own way ❤️

Bedtime yoga flow - do this gentle stretch and flow before bed to help you get a good nights sleep.

Breath is key to relax in to these poses so try and stay in each pose breathing deeply for at least a minute and up to 5 if possible.

These restorative yoga poses relieve tension and stress at the end of the day. Practice these poses regularly to reap the benefits of a good night’s rest. 💤 🛌 ❤️

Morning yoga flow 🙏 ☀️

A modified Sun Salutation with Cat / Cow. This flow will create a balance of strength and flexibility in all major muscle groups.

It can actually be done any time of day but in the morning it will rejuvenate and refresh your mind setting you up for the day.

In round 1 use the right leg to step back into plank and right leg to step forward into Forward Fold at the end. In round 2 use the left leg and so on. Do as many rounds as you like.

Even 5 minutes of yoga a day will make a difference to your health and well being.

1. Put on some relaxing music
2. Pick one of these quick sequences
3. Hold each pose and breathe deeply for 30 - 60 seconds.
4. Make sure you end in your resting Savasana (co**se pose)
5. If you can, stay here for 5-10 minutes for maximum benefits.

Do you need to be flexible to do Yoga?

Simple answer - no!

Yoga is not just about the poses (asanas). Through asanas we are practicing being present, aware, and doing things consciously, instead of mindlessly. We are practicing slowing down our breath and breathing more deeply while stretching and moving.

So being unable to do a certain pose doesn't mean you're not good at yoga or not as good as someone else who can do it. Success in yoga isn't measured by how many advanced postures you can do. The poses themselves are never the end goal. It is not about being flexible or "good" at asana (which, by the way, is only one of the eight limbs of yoga). It is truly about what you learn along the journey.

It is a public holiday but Thursday yoga is still on this week at 6pm -7pm. This weeks practice focusing on self-love. Stretches to strengthen, tone and relax your body that will leave you feeling love for your true self.

A self-love exercise you can do anywhere is 'hand over heart, hand over belly'. With breath awareness this is perfect for self-love and to instantly relax and relieve anxiety.

Sit comfortably or lie down. Close your eyes, place your left hand on your heart, your right hand on your belly and feel your breath rise and fall. Let go of any tensions you may be holding onto. Inhale Deeply, Exhale Completely. Stay here for a full minute or longer.

This weeks class is focusing on balance. Balance allows us to bring confidence and stability into our lives.

The Tree Pose Benefits (Vrksasana)

🙏 calms and relaxes mind and central nervous system
🙏 keeps you grounded

Practice the Tree Pose breathing deeply, grounding down into your foot on the floor and keeping a soft gaze ahead of you focusing on a single point to keep your balance. Practice both sides.
