In the early hours of Christmas Day 2025, the 13YARN Crisis Line received itโ€™s 100,000th call. With less than 4 years of operation itโ€™s significant not just in terms of the day but shows a time when loneliness is a critical factor in people reaching out needing a yarn when holidays can intensify feelings of grief and loss, particularly for those missing loved ones or dealing with ongoing sorry business.

The 100,000th call came almost a year sooner than initially forecast. This shows growing awareness and need for culturally safe services for mob. With the fast growth and high demand 13YARN has trained over 65 Crisis Support workers providing crisis support grounded in lived experience, cultural strength, and empathy.
