I’ve been playing around with some new products lately!

Made with all natural essential oils, they smell sooo good and make for a luxurious and peaceful atmosphere when spritzed on your pillow and around your room. ✨

Hi Friends!
I just added some *New Yummy Goodies* up on the website and I have a big ole' favor to ask!

If you were intending on ordering from me, will you please order from my Etsy site vs. my actual website? While my website ultimately brings me more abundance, Etsy sends traffic to me that is much improved with the more orders (and positive reviews!!!) that I receive.

Someone a few years ago left me a three star review because she didn't brew her tea long enough and then blamed it on the tea (she later came back and re-wrote the review after I gave her a run down on steep times, but she still left the three stars...) and it really hurt my ratings!
I really need to get back to 5 stars on Etsy and I need your help to do it!

Cold weather can be a big trigger for aching joints and stiff muscles. ❄️

My Cayenne Lemongrass Joint & Muscle Rub is handcrafted with oils infused with anti-inflammatory herbs such as Arnica, Comfrey, Lobelia, & St. John’s Wort + blended with blood circulating herbs like Rosemary, Ginger, and of course, Cayenne!

I have been *super* into candles lately! 🕯️✨ 🕯️

In the past month and a half, I’ve made probably dozens of my own ~ beeswax, soy wax, molds, pours, herbs, crystals, essential oils…I’ve been having so much fun using my creative energy in this way! 🌀

I’ve also been lighting candles in my home daily. Without a wood stove, sometimes I struggle with *finding the light* during the cold & dark winter months. I’m finding the warm flickering fire light even from a few small candles is giving me a spark of hope through these seasonal blues. 🔥

Ímbolc is just around the corner (February 1st) and I can’t help but muse that my candle obsession lately is more ancestral than a random crafty inspiration. During these frigid times, my Celtic ancestors would also be awaiting this celebration to one of the most revered goddesses, Brigid~ goddess of the home, hearth, black smithing, and the birthing of animals. Ímbolc is a time of remembrance that though cold days are still upon us, the darkest days are now behind us and the flame of hope for the future burns within us. 🔥
The Christianized version of Brigid, Saint Brigid, celebrates this day as Candlemas. 🕯️

Do you enjoy lighting candles in the winter? If you’re feeling the winter blues, I suggest giving it a try! You just might find that sitting with a little firelight can ignite within you the reminder that this too shall pass, and that warmer and abundant seasons are just around the corner…✨

Sometimes, life gives us roses with thorns. 🌹

They can go deep, and even get lodged under our skin where they’re hard to seek out.

They can affect us for days , weeks, or perhaps even longer! We can limp around with this subtle pain, not knowing what to do about it, and it can influence us more than we realize! We can even try to ignore the discomfort for a while, hoping it goes away on its own. But suddenly, we are more sensitive, moody and perhaps even grumpy or feeling big feelings seemingly out of nowhere. It’s wild that what seems like such a tiny little thing can cause us so much pain!

Eventually, it becomes too much. Eventually, we have to find the source of the discomfort. We have to acknowledge it’s there and take action. We have to dig it out.

We use our tools, perhaps we find some extra support in the form of plant allies or a friend, and we dig. It hurts! It’s uncomfortable! But eventually, with enough discipline, focused attention, and willingness to sit with the pain, we find the thorn. And suddenly when the source is pin pointed, we finally find that it no longer hurts as much. We find relief.

Am I still talking about roses!? 😅

Perhaps I am, but perhaps there’s also a hidden metaphor in this musing…
