Today is World Mental Health Day! The theme this year is protecting our mental Health in times of global instability. I am sure this is impacting us all currently.

We offer wellbeing coaching and cognitive behavioral therapy that can help you cope with all aspects of overwhelm, stress, anxiety and depression.

If you are experiencing the feeling of overwhelm with current events here are some tips:

Reduce news and social media time. Reduce phone time, especially mindless scrolling.

Increase rest and exercises that ground you, such as outdoor activities that ease your stress.

Talk with friends and family.

Focus on what you can control. Take small positive actions. This moves you from the feeling of helplessness to achieving your goals and purpose.

Chepstow Massage and Wellbeing got a lovely mention on Thornbury Radio recently — my favourite local station that’s always playing in the background here. Big love to them for supporting small businesses 💛

Also, a personal update: I’ve officially started university! At 51, I’m diving into something new that beautifully complements my passion for wellbeing — studying counselling at the University of South Wales. It’s exciting, a bit nerve-wracking, and totally aligned with the heart of what I do.

This means my availability is extremely limited and responses may be slower than usual. Thank you for your patience and continued support — it means the world 🌿

August is Happiness Happens Month – a beautiful reminder to celebrate the small moments, shared smiles, and spontaneous joy that make life worth living. Happiness isn’t something we chase; it’s something we notice, create, and spread. Whether it’s a morning coffee, a kind gesture, or a belly laugh with a friend, this month encourages us to pause and savor the moments that lift us up. It’s also a great time to spark joy for others: send a compliment, give a hug, or simply listen with presence.

We are now multi award winners! Chepstow Massage & Wellbeing managed to get the top spot in wellbeing service providers category with Prestige Wales awards. We are thrilled to have achieved this and really appreciate the recognition.

Once we get over the busy summer juggle of being working mums there are a few changes.

Alana is off to university to study further so working hours will be Wednesday corporate bookings and Thursday and Friday regular clients. There will also be more spaces in the term holidays.

Susie wanted to give clients notice that she is taking some time off in October for a reset. It has been a busy year for wellbeing and will return fired up and ready to help with any issues and bring your happiness back 😊
