Hi, I’m Samantha – registered hypnotherapist and BWRT practitioner based in Buckfastleigh, also working on-line with UK residents. I specialise in helping people overcome anxiety and supporting women who are struggling with menopausal problems. Hypnotherapy is an enjoyable, deeply relaxing and uplifting experience that can lead to transformation in many areas of life, far more quickly than you might expect. Hypnotherapy is generally quite a fast therapy – on average clients need just 6 sessions. I can help with many common problems including anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, overwhelm, negative/critical thinking patterns, low mood, phobias, binge eating and unwanted habits. BWRT® is an exciting and dynamic new form of psychotherapy completely different to any other type of therapy you may have experienced. BWRT® is a science based, grounded therapy that can bring rapid results….and unlike many therapies, once we’ve completed your consultation you won’t need to discuss your childhood, relationships, or any trauma you’ve experienced. Most other therapies work on the response after it’s been generated, requiring you to explain what you’re thinking about – but with BWRT® the problem is dealt with ‘at source’ before it even gets to the conscious mind. With BWRT® we can change the way you feel to the way you’d prefer to feel, replacing negative responses with new empowering responses which could include confidence and calmness – in any situation. This is one of the most common insomnia patterns I see.
The moment you start thinking,
“Why can’t I sleep?”
your brain hears danger and switches ON… not off.

💤 Exhausted… but somehow wide awake?
If you’re struggling with insomnia, you probably know this feeling all too well.

Here’s the thing:
Tired and sleepy aren’t actually the same.
You can be completely worn out and still not have that natural “pull” toward sleep.

And honestly?
A lot of people accidentally make it harder for themselves 😳

When you desperately want to sleep — or feel you should sleep — the pressure switches your mind into alert mode. Suddenly you’re wide awake, frustrated, and wondering what on earth is going on.

"I didn't realise it was anxiety..."

A recent client came to me struggling with overthinking, constant worry, profuse sweating, and bowel problems. They'd lived with these symptoms for years, never connecting the dots.
