Mars in Sagittarius Nov 4, 2025
Mars finishes up in the sign of Scorpio on Nov 4, ingressing into the sign of Sagittarius. Mars in Sagittarius opens up new vistas in the deep and beyond the horizon as well as pathways for the masculine within us all.

Mars in Sagittarius is about the action humanity takes to explore new frontiers, desire for greater meaning and truth and leap ahead to whatever adventure awaits without and within. It’s primarily going to be a journey within as the events related to this transit will tend to catalyze inner work in discovering our own personal and collective truth.

Mars is VERY low on the WSW horizon and barely visible. It disappears from view entirely on Nov 13 due to the glare of the Sun. This is the last bit of Phase 2 of the synodic cycle of Mars, which is a preparation stage for the symbolic underworld that starts with Mars' disappearance from naked eye visibility.

But if people get a chance to see it, it is entering the constellation of the Scorpion and will be near the stars of the head and claws of that cosmic creature. The Scorpion is the protector of the roots of the World/Cosmic Tree. The constellation contains the astrological energy of intense transformational processes, healing reminding us the importance of a healthy integration of things we repress/bury deep within our unconscious.

Mars will stay in the sign of Sagittarius until December 14, entering the sign of Capricorn, where the Sun will be at the next solstice.

November Astrology Forecast is here!
In November 2025, Scorpio and Sagittarius highlight the alchemical astrology of this month. Mars, Mercury and Venus are all in Scorpio and Sagittarius. Both Venus and Mars dip into the Underworld (in the glare of the Sun) and Mercury is retorgrade from Nov 9-29 starting is Sag and ending at 20 degrees Scorpio.

Uranus backs into the sign of Ta**us on the 7th while Jupiter stations retrograde on the 11th. Saturn also changes directions, going direct on the 27th. A second and third grand water trine unfolds in the second half of November, so be prepared for that in concert with Mercury retorgrade.

The Illusion of Power / More about the Grand Trine
The Water Grand Trine, currently in progress now at this first phase of it until November 4, involves Mars in Scorpio, Saturn/Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer. One of the layers of this Water Grand Trine involves the "illusion of power".

Mars in Scorpio can embolden those that feel it as a way to project power and control in the world. But as Mars has begun to trine Saturn this week and Neptune in 4 days, this power may be limited, repressed and potentially with Neptune be under the guise of something real and yet it can fizzle or Disolve away. It also reflects Mars' tendency to be reckless at times.

I read a report about the current president of the US ordering the restart of testing nuclear weapons would certainly fall into this area. It's also important to include Pluto, which is still in a sextile/trine pattern with Neptune/Saturn and Uranus.

But I find the timing of this announcement interesting since the sign of Scorpio tends to deal with power, be it within itself or the exertion of power over the environment and at times, people, especially when it is coming from an unhealthy place within a person.

Pluto's role is more to do with the generation/development of energy sources. Pluto in Aquarius speaks more to the detachment of the mind from the organic processes of our use of power AND a potential revolutionary/innovative use of energy sources and their shadow and fears that could be triggered.

We can add Jupiter's (in Cancer) role in this as expanding the current "dialogue" or interplay between the other planets in the Water Grand Trine. So it can seem bigger and in the sign of Cancer, can take on a nationalistic approach. But Jupiter in Cancer in its higher expression is about going beyond the traditional nationalistic/tribalistic philosophy in more of a global family perspective.

Lastly, I'll point out the the testing and race to acquaire and subsequent use of nuclear bombs took place while Pluto was in the 4-10 degree range of Leo (1941-45). in 2026, Pluto begin will reach the opposition point of that time period and finish up in Jan, 2031.

We can ask ourselves do we really have power here both personally and collectively? We must reconcile our relationship with power from within and its illusion of "feeling powerful" in this capitalistic and materialistic civilization. And it starts by recognizing that we naturally don't like to feel powerless. That recognition can lead further into knowing ourselves more deeply and perhaps start a path toward wholeness.

Mercury in Sagittarius Oct 29
The swift planet Mercury is entering the sign of Sagittarius on Oct 29, 2025 at 4:02 am. It also means it is entering the constellation of the Scorpion as well.

Mercury has been slowing significantly over the last week as it is nearing the point of its retrograde, which takes place on Nov 9 at 6° 51’ Sag. We're already in the so-called "shadow period" of Mercury retrograde (since Oct 21). This is the area of the sky/zodiac that Mercury loops back and forth.

Mercury will disappear relatively quickly less than a week after stationing retrograde as well. But we still have a chance to see it in the early evening sky as it reaches the claws and and head of the Scorpion constellation.

Mercury emphasizes the qualities of the Sagittarius mind, perceptions and communication expressions.

The Sagittarius mind is intuitive, fiery, free-flowing, optimistic and philosophical in its expressions. Sagittarius can be challenged to forge a commitment due to the perception that the commitment may limit its freedom. However, it can commit to its pursuit to discover new truths and meanings in the world.

Sagittarius as a sign can be considered to be a torch-bearer and herald of the zodiac. It welcomes new trails and other routes less taken. This means it is a chance for us to feel into our intuitive senses as we make strides to uncover the mysteries that Scorpio may have hidden away. This swing back and forth between Scorpio and Sagittarius could show up as a "hide and seek" potential for the humanity's collective mind.

Mercury will remain in the sign of Sagittarius until November 18, returning to Sagittarius again on December 11, 2025.

Oct 27, 2025 - Mars Trines Jupiter / Water Grand Trine (including Saturn/Neptune)

Mars enters into a trine with Jupiter today on Oct 27 at 24°48’ Scorpio/Cancer. Mercury is also just 4 degrees away at 28 Scorpio at the time of this trine. Its is part of a larger Water Grand Trine with Saturn (Oct 29) and Neptune (Nov 3).

The element of water is featured here in a very significant way. The element of water in astrology represents the feelings and emotional realm to express those feelings.

A Grand Trine symbolzes balance and the number 3 trinity, such as the ancient maiden, mother and crone prinicple. Together, they symbolize all the facets and phases of humanity, showcasing the evolution of the water through us.

Water flows just as feelings do. And these planets listed above are activating the deeper feelings that may have been repressed or simply ignored. Our relationship with water also relates to the fluids within us, including the tears that carry away the energy and other compounds and chemicals that are stored within us. This Water Grand Trine is a powerful time to get in touch with those feelings, facing the deeper soul-level truths that have sunken deep below what we wear on the surface.

We can catch a glimpse of that balance when we allow our awareness of the feelings to flow without judgment, be it cultural or social or personal. That glimpse can be just enough to eventually and ultimately take us beyond the awareness into a more conscious life of wholeness. But those first steps tend to be the most difficult.

Since Mars is the primary catalyst in this first Grand Trine, its primary mode of operating is through instinct and action (as the masculine principle). And it is a deep action of controlled passion and desire for what we want/desire to bring into and/or develop in our life's goals.

The next big Water Grand Trine is on Nov 16-17 when the Sun forges the pattern in water. Then between November 25-30 Venus comes into play co-creating the Water Grand Trine. Mercury will perform a Grand Trine trifecta (due to the retrograde period in Sag and Scorpio) Oct 24-29, Nov 19-22 and Dec 6-11.

Upcoming Water Grand Trines Oct/Nov
We have 2 upcoming Water Grand Trines, first on October 27-29 and again in November 16-18. The first one involves Mars in Scorpio and the second involves the Sun in Scorpio.

A Grand Trine is a pattern/aspect in transit or on a natal chart that involves 3 points/planets forming an equalateral triangle shape. It's looked at typically as an expressed of the elemental expression in astrology (i.e. fire, water, earth and air).

In these cases, the trines are involving the element of water (Scorpio, Pisces and Cancer). They won't be exact Water Grand Trines, but they will still have an impact for humanity.

The first one involves Mars in Scorpio, Saturn in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer. Neptune is near this trine (and the 2nd one) so there is influence there from the mystical planet.

This first one takes place Oct 27-29. On Oct 27, Mars and Jupiter are trine at 24°48’ Scorpio/Cancer and on Oct 29 Mars and Saturn are trine at 25°53’ Scorpio/Pisces with the midpoint on Oct 28.

The 2nd one is on Nov 16-18. The Sun trines Jupiter at 25°06’ on Nov 16 while the Sun trines Saturn at 25°15’ on Nov 17. This is a significantly closer (to exact) Water Grand Trine than the first one in October. There is only a 9' difference in or about 1/6 of 1 degree.

The meaning behind these Grand Trines is about our flow of feelings and life force. It is about getting in touch with our own feelings while also being aware of our capacity for empathy and compassion of others. It is a powerfully spiritual and action-oriented Grand Trine. One of the layers involves Saturn showing us our own limits and how much we've repressed our own desires and heart to maintain control in our lives.

The difference of the 2 Grand Trines is that the first one with Mars involves more action through the masculine within and without while the second involves a radiant expression of self-love in its creative capacity. All the other qualities written above apply to both.

Also consider that in November at Jupiter stations retrograde on Nov 11 at 25°09’ Cancer while Saturn stations direct at 25°09’ Pisces on Nov 27. Only 16 days separate the 2 planets from an exact trine with each other. They squared each other 3 times in 2024-25 so there is already a strong building toward an opposition (5 times) in 2029-31. There is something special that they will be at the same degree and minute of their repsective signs when stationing in opposite directions. November is likely to be a very special month for humanity.

Neptune back into Pisces & Sun into Scorpio
On Oct 22, the planet Neptune regresses back into the sign of Pisces, where it will stay until Jan 26. The Sun then ingresses into the sign of Scoprio at 8:50 pm PDT on Oct 22.

I'm highlighting Neptune first due to the most significant theme for 2025 and 2026 is the Saturn-Neptune conjunction period and their dual ingress into Aries, back into Pisces, then Aries again in early 2026.

Neptune’s regress into Pisces is about helping us review the last 13 years of Neptune in Pisces, going back to 2011. It's giving us a last chance to reflect on the significant shifts in consciousness, especially around beliefs and illusions that can remain as an unhealthy fantasy.

But Neptune in Pisces has also allowed us to check in with our hearts and faith in our own paths. Neptune shows us where reality thins and dissolves. It's been especially potent with Saturn in Neptune as well, co-creating bizarre impacts on humanity and our sytems and structures in life.

WIth the Sun in Scorpio (Oct 22-Nov 22) on the same day, this will help, later on in Nov, create a grand water trine with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn/Neptune in Pisces. This is a lot of energy around our feeling-function/senses. The intensity and power of our ability to empathize and have compassion along with are passion for control and delving into the mysteries of life in combination with a spiritual expansion and desire to help others all attempting to alchemize within humanity.

The general energy that the Sun in Scorpio brings is a deepening of our relationship with power and life force. This is the time where the plants decay in order to seed a rebirth of abundance. It is a time of consciously working with life force, control of will and a creative expression that manifests into reality.

Scorpio is an archetypal sign of the Shaman / Sorceress / Edgewalker. It is a sign that helps us reach the edge of life and see what is beyond. It is an organic watery passion that is controlling its emotional state through willpower while maintaining conscious connection to the deeper mysteries.

New Moon in Libra Oct 21, 2025
Our next New Moon is on October 21, 2025 at 28°21’ Libra at 5:25 am PDT.

A Libra New Moon is an excellent time to start fresh with relationships, including meeting new people and engagement with groups and the community.

It is also a time that stirs the air of peaceful relations and to negotiate settlements, contracts and the like. However, we are still in the influence of a continuing Mars-Mercury conjunction period in Scorpio, meaning there are strong reactive forces out and about. So, getting things done in a way that is helpful to all parties may end up being more difficult even with the New Moon in Libra energy.

Other astrological aspects are also afoot, including the continuation of the double sextile involving Pluto, Neptune and Uranus along with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and Chiron-Eris conjunction periods taking place.

The Sabian Symbol, 29 Libra is “Mankind’s vast enduring effort for knowledge transferable from generation to generation”. Keywords are:. “Interpreting and conveying beliefs and ideas. The desire to pass on something to others. Handing down possessions or knowledge. Knowledge being changed, modified or updated. Teaching by example. The wisdom of the ancestors. Research into history. Striving for answers. Books and the spoken word. Encyclopedias and reference books. The gift of knowledge.” (from The Sabian Oracle by Lynda Hill pg 209)”

This can be interpreted as the need to keep humanity in the know and not to destroy but to preserve what we have learned. Libra is all about co-creating balance, which can include a balance of knowledge and wisdom holisitically rather than only one narrow vision or perspective.

This Sabian Symbol reminds us to honor the knowledge and wisdom of our ancestors that assisted us through the ages even as we try and build something new.

We can inquire within how to utilize that knowledge and wisdom as a contributing piece to a greater whole for ourselves, our families and all of humanity.

After the New Moon, Neptune moves back into Pisces while the Sun ingresses into the sign of Scorpio on the 22nd.

Mercury and Mars experience the first in a series of 3 conjunctions at 19˚11’ Scorpio on Oct 19, 2025. The conjunction will carry over into Oct 20 as well.

There is typically only 1 conjunction every year between Mars and Mercury. The other 2 conjunctions take place in November in Sagittarius and January 2026 in Capricorn.

Because it is a series of 3 conjunctions, this will be a process of evolution of the mind and the masculine within us. The Scorpio portion of the process will place the greater mysteries within and outside of us into greater focus. The energy supports an exploration of the deeper mysteries of the Universe along with working with life force energy more consciously.

This is a great time to do deeper inner work and discover the resevoir of power within. We can also inquire as to our relationship with power, whether we give away too much of it or we simply do not give ourselves permission to express our personal power (not power over others, but power over our decisions and life direction).

The conjunction is at 11:51 pm PDT on Oct 19. Mars and Mercury will be within a degree of each other Oct 18-21. The next one takes place on November 11th, while Mercury is retrograding in Sagittarius.
