With temps soaring, local birds are really doing it tough. If you can, pop a shallow bowl of fresh water in a shaded spot for them to drink and bathe.

Quick tips:

• Use a wide, shallow bowl
• Add a few pebbles/twigs for perching
• Place in shade, away from pets
• Refresh and top up regularly (ideally daily)
• Set up a couple of stations if you can
