1️⃣ What are FODMAPs❓

FODMAPs are a group of fermentable carbohydrates that our body doesn't digest, therefore, our gut microbes ferment them, causing gas and attracting water to the intestines.

The movement of water and gas can cause pain and bloat in people with IBS.⁠

2️⃣ What is the FODMAP protocol 🍎

1. Restrict FODMAP for 2-6 weeks⁠
2. ⁠Reintroduce systematically group by group⁠

Constipated? 💩 You’re going to want to READ ON...

Many people I work with tell me their biggest struggle is having consistent 💩 daily. Often they spend hours in the bathroom, can't fully empty & get very . ⁠

Can you relate?⁠

Having a productive daily 💩 can resolve a lot of for many. Especially IBS-C & IBS-M type, or IBS-D that is actually caused by constipation (overflow )⁠

Here are some daily tips that can help:

🍳 Good breakfast. Food in our stomach in the AM generates gastrocolic reflex that stimulates our colon to move & get food out of our system⁠

☕️ Coffee contains chlorogenic acid that helps stimulates colonic movement to excrete stool⁠

💦 Hydration is probably one of the most important things when it comes to having a daily BM. Do you know our colon absorbs water from our stool to make it solid? When our body is dehydrated, the colon will try to absorb more water from the stool, making it dry & harder to pass. ⁠

🍎 Fiber has the ability to retain water and soften our stool! If you worry about the bloat, start by adding fiber first 🍊🍌🍇🍓🥝🍍 ⁠

🏃🏻‍♀️ Joyful movement. Moving the body really helps things move in our gut too. Doesn't need to be strenuous, but consistent gentle exercise would do⁠

🚽 Squatting relaxes your puborectalis muscle more & straightens out your colon, giving the p**p a straight route out. As a result, you can go more easily with less straining.⁠

But here’s the thing: constipation and bloat are rarely solved by tips alone. They’re often part of a bigger pattern that needs a step-by-step process.
