Pokeno got a little competitive today! 🎉 Jerry was on a roll, winning 5 rounds and keeping everyone on their toes. But as it always goes, it’s not over until the last draw… and that’s when Bob’s name was pulled as the big $10 winner!

Lots of laughs, a little friendly rivalry, and one of those afternoons that everyone enjoys being part of. 💙

We had a great turnout for our Bunny Bingo event!!! 🐰💐

We had 105 guests, and we raised $915 to benefit the Senior Center! We are so thrilled to support them in this way 💪🎉

🇺🇸 National Vietnam War Veterans Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor and thank the men and women who served during the Vietnam War, including many of the Veterans and families we are privileged to know right here at Peaceful Pines.

Through our partnership with Patriot Angels, we help Veterans and their surviving spouses explore the VA Aid & Attendance benefit, a tax-free monthly pension that can help cover the cost of senior living and care for those who qualify. As a small way of saying thank you, Peaceful Pines waives the community fee for eligible Veterans working with Patriot Angels, helping families focus on care, comfort, and community.

If you or someone you love served during a wartime period, you may have benefits you didn’t even realize were available. Today, we honor your service and stand ready to help you explore the support you’ve earned.

Living Life Together and having a little fun while we’re at it. The past 30 days have been full of laughs, connection, and a few cheers 🍻 From exercise and puzzles to all kinds of Bingo (because you can never have too much!), we’ve been staying active and engaged.

We’ve made outings to a local watering hole, gotten gussied up at the salon, had our nails done, and our men’s card group has been putting their new table to good use. We even cheered with green beers to celebrate the season!

Over in The Woodlands Memory Care Neighborhood, residents take part in purposeful, familiar daily activities that support cognitive engagement, strengthen motor skills, and promote comfort, routine, and a sense of home.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our family Easter event on Saturday! 🐣💛We had so much fun dyeing eggs, sharing a delicious Easter supper, and spending time together with residents, families, and friends. It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, color, and great company. Moments like these are what it’s all about. 🌷

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Dementia Dialogues® training hosted at Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Huron. We were grateful to see so many community members and caregivers come together to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Over three evenings, participants explored topics including the basics of dementia, strategies for effective communication, understanding the environment and promoting independence, addressing challenging behaviors, and creative problem solving.

A special thank you to Renee Robins and the South Dakota Foundation for Medical Care for helping facilitate this important program and supporting education in our community.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to attend and continue learning ways to better support individuals living with dementia. 💙

We had a special visitor come by 😊
We really are like a family here at Peaceful Pines, and one of our Med Aides, Paige, came by to show off her new baby girl, Evelynn!!! We love the moments when generations meet.
