With a heart both heavy and light, I announce the upcoming closing of TerraDona. Heavy, because TerraDona has been a phenomenally important part of my life for 5 1/2 years now, and I will miss both the shop and the customers who made it a thrilling and gratifying adventure. I will miss every one of you dearly!

But my heart is also light, because we are finally going home! For ten years, I have teared up every time someone mentions Northwest Arkansas, specifically the Eureka Springs and Fayetteville area. Recent life changes and family issues have led us to finally do what we almost did several times throughout the last decade. In short, it is time to move back to our beloved Ozarks, back near family, and friends who feel like family at the deepest levels. I will always love and miss St. Charles, Main Street, the Missouri River, and our favorite haunts. (I'm looking at you, Bike Stop, Rootbound, and more!)

But it is time, and so here we go! This final weekend of Legends and Lanterns, and Pumpkin Glow, will be TerraDona's last. Almost everything in the store is deeply discounted, and I am not averse to hearing offers on the larger, more expensive pieces. Come see us, say "see you later," and nab your treasures while they're here!

And speaking of nabbing treasures...do not count 419 S Main off your list as a place to score awesome stones, crystals, and other wonderful items. The new owner of the building is continuing that tradition with a brand-new, exciting crystal shop...but that isn't my announcement to make, so I'll sign off and hope to see all of you this weekend!

ATTENTION (OakRose here) ~ Because of a death in our immediate family, I must postpone the "Mini's" event that was announced for this upcoming weekend. Thanks to my amazing assistants, TerraDona will remain open throughout the coming days and weeks. I will look forward to offering these "mini's" at some point in the near future.

Let the joy and healing bloom with “Mini’s” at Spirit of the River, upstairs from TerraDona at 419 S. Main Street in historic Saint Charles!

During this year’s Main Street in Bloom event, Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th, OakRose River Althea, MA, MFA, IHAP, will offer clients their choice of several “mini sessions,” each taking approximately half an hour. Offerings include Energetic Clearing and Cord Cutting, Oracle Card reading, or a half-hour Flower Essence consultation.

The mini sessions will be available between 1:00 and 6:00 on Saturday and between 1:00 and 5:00 on Sunday. Drop-ins are welcome but feel to reach out to request a specific time slot. Email OakRose at spiritoftheriver.life@gmail.com or text 314-366-0242.

Suggested exchange is $35 per half-hour session, but as always, OakRose works on a sliding scale and welcomes everyone, regardless of ability to meet the full exchange amount.

Here it comes!! TerraDona and Spirit of the River will present the next class in their Crystal Journeys Workshop Series on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from noon to 4:00 p.m. The topic of this workshop is “Getting Grounded,” and it is special indeed!

During the first portion of the workshop, OakRose will lead an exploration of various grounding techniques, with an emphasis on the use of stones and crystals. Following a discussion of the stones and crystals that are most commonly used for grounding purposes, OakRose will guide participants on an inner journey where they will discover their own most perfect stone or crystal for this intention.

After a short break for snacks, Dale and John Lintzenich of ZenEarth Creations will demonstrate their technique for creating the wonderful stone-and-airplant sculptures that grace the shelves of TerraDona, and they will assist participants as they create their very own stacked-stone sculptures.

Suggested exchange is $75, which includes the 4-hour workshop and all materials. (Please don’t hold back if the suggested exchange is challenging for you – sliding scale pricing is always available!)

On Sunday, February 25th, Spirit of the River and TerraDona will present a Crystal Journey Workshop: Essences of Love!

This Crystal Journey Workshop will explore the many facets and forms of love, and will feature some of the crystal allies most commonly used for this intention. A deep guided meditation will aid participants in discerning the stone or crystal that is right for them at this time. The second portion of the workshop will discuss methods for creating various types of gem essence or gem water, and participants will be guided in creating their own gem essence to bring home.

*Note that all Crystal Journey Workshops begin with basic information about stones and crystals. No prior knowledge or experience is required.

This workshop will start at noon and end at around 3:00, with a short break for snacks. Please bring a pen and a journal for recording insights after the meditation portions--even a notebook or looseleaf paper will do!

Due to the extreme weather, tomorrow's Crystal Journey workshop is now officially postponed until March. BUT in the meantime...

In February, Spirit of the River and TerraDona will present another workshop in our Crystal Journey series. This workshop will focus on Love in all its forms, and as part of the event, participants will learn how to create and use gem essences. AND...

In March or April, yet another Crystal Journey workshop will focus on stones and crystals that help us find our center and remain grounded even in trying situations. In this workshop's final segment, Dale and John Lintzenich of ZenEarth Creations will guide participants in creating their own stacked stone sculptures, similar to the ones you see in TerraDona.

In the spirit of “Just do it,” Spirit of the River is presenting the very first workshop in our Crystal Journey series on Saturday, January 20th, from 11:00 – 3:00! The weather might not be perfect (unless you’re fond of ultra-cold and sunny), we don’t have lots of lead time for promotion and the website isn’t even set up, and we very likely will not be listed on Eventbrite this time around.

But despite all that, OakRose and Lindsay Marie of Lindsay Marie Designs are ready to gather with fellow crystal lovers--whether new to stones and crystals or highly experienced with the mineral kingdom--and focus on crystal allies for calming and stress relief.

We will start out with some crystal basics, and then explore a variety of stones and crystals that are often called upon for the intention of achieving a sense of calm and inner peace. We will also discuss techniques for tapping into the inner knowing that can help us with our personal selection process and will then journey inward via a guided meditation to discover our own perfect crystal ally for this special intention. Bring a journal if you have one!

After a lunch break (on our own, on Main Street), Lindsay will assist participants as they learn to wrap their chosen crystals into a simple pendant. (Connect with Lindsay on Facebook at Lindsay Marie Designs.)

The cost for the workshop is on a sliding scale, and this time around, payment will be taken care of immediately before the workshop. Cash and checks are acceptable, and hopefully PayPal and Venmo will be options by next week as well. Workshop will be limited to ten participants.

Welcome to Spirit of the River, located upstairs at TerraDona, 419 S. Main Street in historic Saint Charles, Missouri! A light-filled, cozy space a mere stone’s throw from the banks of the Missouri, Spirit of the River is home to the holistic arts practice of OakRose River Althea (Teressa Rose Ezell, MA, MFA, IHAP), founder and owner of TerraDona.

Spirit of the River is all about Empowerment, Transformation, and Self-Discovery. All work is client-led and founded on OakRose’s deep conviction that no one can understand our needs better than we understand them ourselves, based on our own inner guidance. The trick is to get past all the “shoulds and oughtas” and connect with the deepest, most basic parts of ourselves. OakRose facilitates these processes with clients through modalities such as Transformational Life Coaching, Guided Imagery and Inner Journeys, Mindfulness Techniques, Reiki and Energy Work, Stones and Crystals, Flower Essences, and more, based on a client’s specific needs.

As well as being a space for individual inner work, Spirit of the River is also the site of classes and workshops, including the upcoming Crystal Journey Series, beginning January 20, 2024.
