CPR it Works, LLC | AED Program Solutions - Catalysts for Community Life Savers

Debbie Medina, Owner of CPR it Works, LLC located in Brea, California, was inspired to start her business after her 25-year old son survived a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) at home in 2016 from an undiagnosed congenital heart defect. Her son survived by the courageous efforts of his three good friends and Eagle Scouts, Blake, Blake & Jon, Brea EMS, Dispatcher, and St. Jude Hospital’s incredible emergency and ICU staff.

Knowing that out of the 365,000 SCA’s that occur each year in our nation, only 12% survive, Debbie was out to make a difference in saving lives and became an advocate, educator and trainer as well as a national distributor, service provider, and consultant for Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s).

Debbie’s background and education includes Cardiac Technology, National Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), City of Brea CERT, Citizens Police Academy, and Sourcing. Debbie has been a spokesperson for the American Heart Association (AHA) and resides on their Western Regional Advocacy Committee. She has spoken at many corporations, community events, and associations with the intent of changing the mindset of citizens and empower them to act!

Debbie is a certified instructor for AHA, American Red Cross, EMS Safety and for the American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed program. Debbie has trained CPR, AED, First Aid, Stop the Bleed and Bloodborne Pathogens for teachers, healthcare workers, school districts, licensed child care providers, scouts, general business owners and their first responders, and a wide variety of occupations. Debbie is often called on to provide strategic advisory support in the selection and placement of AED’s.
