As with most movements throughout history and continuing today, Black people have always been at the forefront of the fight for s*x workers' rights.

Black s*x workers face disproportionate levels of stigma, violence and discrimination, everywhere from law enforcement to doctors to clients.

Black s*x workers are some of the most impacted by wh*rephobia and the criminalization of s*x work, yet are often left behind by mainstream s*x worker advocacy.

Black s*x workers' voices deserve to be centered, uplifted and listened to all year long, and should never be left out of s*x worker rights advocacy and protections.

🌼 What is a Doula? 🌼

A doula is a birth companion and support person—providing non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support along the birth continuum. This includes pre-conception, pregnancy, labour, postpartum, loss, and abortion.

Whether it’s at a cafe, park, library, in your home, or at the hospital, we’re here to meet you where you are, on your terms. We support all birth choices: home or hospital, medicated or unmedicated, physiological or c-section.

We’re here to nurture, empower, and uplift you through every step of your birth journey! 💖

We are running a doula pilot program for Two-Spirit, trans, and gender diverse folks here at CWHWC!

We will be accepting families to support within the City of Vancouver* starting in January 2025. We may be able to accommodate surrounding cities in Metro Vancouver* on a case-by-case basis. Services are free of charge.

* This program takes place on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
