Check out this Map for swing sports athletes: golfers, tennis players, and anyone with stuck stress in the upper body. To optimize your swing, you need stability in the hips and mobility in the upper body.

If you've not yet tried Melt Method, you're missing out on one of my all-time FAVE tools for optimizing mobility, stability, and releasing stuck stress throughout the body.

I recommend starting with the Full Foot Treatment 3 x weekly. You'll notice the difference in your whole body after one treatment. But after three weeks, you won't need your osteopath/chiropractor as much, if at all.

Sue Hitzmann's videos can be found on YouTube, but the On-Demand membership is the single best value of any fitness membership (and I have MANY) that I know. And she's adding new videos regularly.

Amazing athlete. Amazing role model.
Repost from

Thank you — not just for being an amazing athlete but an amazing role model teaching us all how important it is to acknowledge when we need to focus on our mental health.

My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person; he believed in me." -Jim Valvano.

Happy Father’s Day! ✨Thank you to my father and all the deserving Papas for your love, support, and inspiration. ✨

For not trying to tell us how to live but teaching us by living. ❤️

I am beyond grateful to have my father in my life. Still inspiring me, cheering me on. ✨

To my friends who've lost their Pappas and are missing them today: Sending you lots of love to your precious heart.❤️

to 4 years ago. Me and KB after an early AM interval run. I was 47, and he was 74 years old. Had we known them what would happen just 2 years later, would we have ever let out daily AM exercise routine slide?

A resounding Hell NO!

Let’s go back to the start....Growing up, it was the healthy living influence of my athletic parents, specifically the daily morning movement/regular exercise habit that enabled me to optimize my health, adjust well in school, and avoid a lot of the normal, hormonal and other challenges that befall teens.

Movement is medicine.

It is one of my key habits for optimal mind, body, spirit vitality and aging with power.

My Mom taught me to swim before I could walk. And I was on my first swim and soccer teams at age 5.
Growing up, participating in a team sport every season was mandatory in our house. As was going to bed early and waking up at dawn. ✨
My Dad and I ran our first road race together when I was 12 and later the London, New York, and Boston Marathons. I enjoyed distance running with my Dad.

But when I was little, I dreaded the cold first dive into the pool on those early morning swim practices. And the soccer matches and basketball games were the worst because I was not a good sprinter.

Even in the sports I excelled, like running, I dreaded long practices and competitions. But I loved the feeling of accomplishment I had afterward and the camaraderie, connection, and other benefits of being part of a team. ✊🏽

And looking back now, I know that it's the simple (but not always easy) habits of getting out of bed upon waking and regular exercise, that have served me well in life. And have gotten me through the most recent toughest times.✨Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post to hear the rest;) 😘

For you.

For the days when you're not always able to trust the process.

Or to serve as a wee reminder to take a moment. Look back to a year ago. Look at all YOU have manifest out of the ashes.

Read that again.✨What do you think?
I’m not new to the law of attraction, power of the mind, and meditation.❤️
As many of you know, when I was 7 years old my father took me to the TM Center in Houston, Texas to learn Transcendental Meditation (kiddo version).
That said, I am relatively new to Recently I attended one of his Advanced Meditation retreats where I was able to fully experience and appreciate the benefits of his teaching / heart coherence first hand. 🥰
・・・

BENEFITS: “The benefits of heart coherence are numerous, including lowering blood pressure, improving the nervous system, hormonal balance, and brain function. In addition to HeartMath Institute’s research findings, our data strongly suggests that sustained heart-centered emotions promote healthier gene expression.⁣

Heart coherence begins with the steady, coherent drumbeat of the heart through cultivating, practicing, and sustaining elevated emotions including gratitude, appreciation, thankfulness, inspiration, freedom, kindness, selflessness, compassion, love, and joy. The benefits of that coherent beat are felt throughout all systems of the body.⁣

Consciously or unconsciously, many of us practice feeling unhappy, angry, or fearful each day. So why not practice creating and maintaining joyful, loving, altruistic states instead? Wouldn’t that eventually create a new internal order, resulting in overall health and happiness? “
⁣.

Stop. 🙏🏽

Your lil' heart can only take so much.

Drop a ♥️ if you know what I mean.

Breathe.

In through your nose for 6. Exhale 6.

Repeat.

Remember what is right: we have clean water, a roof over our heard, people who love us beyond measure. I ♥️you.

Where your attention goes, energy flows. ✨
Anybody else finding this task uniquely challenging at this moment?😉

Yea, me too.

Try this: When you notice you're stuck in an unproductive thought pattern, shift your attention to your breath.

Inhale through the nose for six counts, exhale through the nose for six counts.

Repeat.

Notice where you're holding tension and direct your next exhalation to that area.

Check-in with the face (especially the jaw), your neck, shoulders, even your fingers.

Give yourself a little pep talk if it feels good. Say to yourself what you would say to your best friend, "Hang in there," "You've got this!" and or "I'm here for you."

Hang in there. You do have this. I’m here for you*. 😘XOMB

*Come to my Sunday or Tuesday donation based class via Zoom. Link to web site in bio. Go to Yin Yoga with Magen page to learn more.

We practice a lot of deep breathing, mindfulness and other tools to get you through these days.

Who is this friend for you? The one who makes you double over/deep belly laugh? The one who makes your gratitude list on the regular? ❤️
Did you smile just thinking about her?☺️
Tag him/her. ❤️

to one of my Optimal Mind Body Retreats and a sweet moment between me and a good friend/client. She and her sister (also one of my fave friends and clients) are two rare people who can make me deep, belly laugh with very little effort.

They are also two of my most self-aware and awake friends. And they're both currently participating in my Summer Optimal Mind Body Program and Yin Yoga classes. ❤️

One of the best things about my 'work' as an integrative health coach and Yin Yoga teacher is that often my friends become clients. And clients become friends. ❤️

We lift each other and inspire one another. We walk through some of the most major life cycles together. Then they refer their fave friends and family to my programs and classes, and I get to know and experience the same with their LOVES. 🥰

Best part, we get to bear witness to one another’s most remarkable transformations.🦋

Extending MUCHAS GRACIAS to all my program and Sunday Yin Yoga Zoom clients/friends for trusting me to walk this path towards Optimal Health with you. It is my greatest joy! It is one of my life's passions and purposes. 🙏🏽XOMB
