In case you missed it, I will be taking a temporary leave as of next Friday June 6th to focus on my growing family ✨️

The lovely Dr. Erinn Musial (swipe left 👈) will be taking over care of my patients at both DC Chiropractic and Newmarket Naturopathic.

🗓 Her hours, beginning June 10th, are as follows:
DC Chiropractic - Tuesdays 11am to 5:30pm
Newmarket Naturopathic - Wednesdays 11am to 6pm and one Saturday a month (variable depending on the month)

Please read on for her bio below:

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at St. FX University, in Nova Scotia, my interest in naturopathic medicine swept me away to the big city. I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto with a passion for helping others, and a new lease on the healthcare world.

My goal when working with patients is to empower them to take control of their own health. I believe in educating patients about what’s going on in their body, so that they understand how to maintain a healthy lifestyle for years to come. My approach is rooted in understanding the healing power nature, while using both research and traditional medicine to help regain balance within the mind and body.

I'm intentionally curating my life now to put me on the best path for my future. 💫

I have a lot of things to be grateful for currently, and I don't want to wake up 10, 20, 30 years down the line, losing that ✨️ spark. ✨️

What that means is investing in different ways to love my life, and helping as many people as I can do the same along the way.

Grateful to already be working with amazing patients who keep my spirit fire lit 🔥 I'm excited for who else I will get to work with this year.

After taking some time for restoration of my mind and body, I'll be back with more ways to stay connected and elevate your wellness game.

In the meantime, I want you to think about ways that you can invest in loving your life too. 💞

Throwback to my hip hop dance days where hoops were a must as part of your fit. ✨️ It was undeniable - the bigger the hoops, the more confident I felt. 🔥

Now that I'm redefining my "me era," I'm all about channeling what's good For me and what makes me Feel good.

You can do amazing things when you feel good about yourself. There's so much unlocked potential that starts with just believing that You are the prize - the people you let in, what you deem worthy of your energy, how much stress you feel... everything shifts.

Your body listens to your thoughts and responds accordingly. The way you sleep, wake up, problem solve, speak, love, work, play, recover, move, and breathe becomes different.

So incredibly grateful to those who made this happen for a second year in a row 🙏 My work and my patients add so much purpose to my life that even on days when my heart and soul are tired, I still feel lucky to do what I do.

I've been learning to really highlight the fact that what naturopathic doctors do make a real difference in the world. I started this journey being content on positively impacting one person's life, and this has grown exponentially since.

There's still so much for me to learn, in terms of how to make my practice more inclusive and anti-oppressive, but I feel excited about doing this. Forever a student, as well as a teacher.

One day, I hope to create a whole community of health warriors who have each other's back and are empowered to take control of their own wellness.

Thank you, thank you, thank you 🥰

What does it mean to be a patient of mine?

1. I'll actually listen and take in your wisdom about your own body. If I'm not making eye contact while you speak, I'm writing everything you're saying down and brainstorming the next steps.

2. I put in work outside of your visits. Coordination with labs, interpreting lab reports, research, backup plans in case what we're doing isn't working, etc. I can promise you that you're not just paying for 30 or 90 minutes of my time.

3. I'll keep you accountable. Every visit has a follow up scheduled so that we can keep on track. Health and wellness is a journey, not a destination. I'm ready to show up if you are.

If you're tired of feeling like s**t and being dismissed when it comes to your health, and you don't know where to begin, start with a naturopathic doctor.

There's such a wide variety of naturopathic doctors and treatment styles, so it's important to find the right fit for you.

For example, if you're looking for a specific treatment method, such as IV therapy, hormone replacement therapy, specialized testing, etc, make sure your ND offers this before starting care. However, keep in mind that you may not be a good candidate for the therapy you're looking for, and it's up to the ND to do a full assessment to determine what the best course of treatment is for you.

If I'm not the right ND for you, I still want you to get the care you deserve.
