Waterfront Mile The Waterfront Mile is a marked 1-mile stretch of Ipswich's Waterfront area, to be used to promote p Good question!

But how will anyone know what the distance is, or where it starts and ends? Ten markers – each placed at 176 yard intervals (we know…not particularly round numbered, but it’s a tenth of a mile!) – will feature small, but noticeable, signage indicating what point of the mile the person is at.
