I would like us all to take a moment of silence for all the lives lost from the greatest generation on that tragic day. Also to thank those who serviced in this conflict and all others after it.

76 years ago today began the allied invasion of Normandy. 103 years ago today began the attack on Belleau Wood by US Marines that earned us the name Devil Dogs.

It is with the greatest of of saddness that I have to report to all of you the passing of our founding father and a great peer support advocate Mark A Sawyer.
Mark showed so many of us that we are not alone in our struggles, that we are not alone to face our demons, Many of nights I would work side by side with him in pulling so many of our brothers and sisters off the ledge. He was not only a good mentor in the peer support field, but a even better freind.
The cause of his passing is still being investigated, however the intial review shows no foul play, and it was not intentional. Members of the staff (including myself) have been in contact with the family and we will update you all as more information is passed out to us.
I ask each of you to please take a moment of silence in his honor sometime today. Comment on this post so we can show our love and thanks to this great man in way that his family can see. Then please also make a post on his wall for the same reasons.
